Why should that put a question mark on the Cruz campaign? Unless one wants the country to an isolationist country it would benefit us to have good people inside with a pulse on what they are doing in order to countermeasure what isn’t beneficial to this country....or at the very least be able to leverage. One stays connected in order to determine the actual landscape of what’s coming.....and that no nation in and of itself will stop as it’s far to late now to do so.

If you want a repeat of the Johnson / Goldwater election, than Cruz is your guy.

Hillary isn't Johnson. She's more like Walter Mondale. But that doesn't mean Cruz is guaranteed to win 49 states. He's no Reagan, and the US has moved leftward since 1984.

Trump has the best chance of beating Hillary, and that's a prerequisite for appointing justices to the Supreme Court.

Hopefully Cruz can restore the Constitution as rule of law, after Trump is forced to get his hands a bit dirty. But that’s life after 8 years of Obama. The Dems will use the courts to stop EVERYTHING the next Republican president attempts, including perfectly legal acts of Congress - those are the types of judges we now have. Until we can either get rid of those judges, or outnumber them enough, they will have to be ignored by the next Republican president.

This is a great graph. Cruz has the personal character and the conservative convictions we need in the POTUS. He’s not pretending to be a conservative; he is a conservative. He’s not a guy who has praised Hillary and donated vast sums of money to the Clinton Foundation. He isn’t a three times married guy who sets a poor example with his personal life. He speaks in a calm yet righteous tone without being a boorish, vain lout. Vote for Cruz, not the phony.

Believe what you want. Carson, Fiorina, etc. were all out of thin air, but Cruz is rising in spite of the MSM’s hate. Whatever. I love Cruz to death, but he could never overcome the GOPe. Trump can. I hope he takes Cruz along for the ride.

It was Cruz who suggested Roberts, the moron who could have stopped ObamaCare TWICE and instead made up his own, NOT IN THE CONSTITUTION, reason for it to be okay.

Ted Cruz will add the Conservative tone to a Trump general election run by joining Trump as the VP nominee.

Cruz has impressive Conservative credentials and a legislative background. The VP’s job is essentially as the President of the Senate.

Trump will add to his base Cruz’s Conservative voters and put the round peg in the round hole as far as the VP’s responsibilities.

Cruz is young and a good follow up to a Trump Presidency, although I think the Dems will fight tooth and nail against Cruz concerning Article II eligibility. Something the GOPe didn’t have the guts for re: Obama.

Justice Thomas is Trump’s favorite on the Supreme Court.

Now, which friggin idiots did former Republican President’s Nominate to the Supreme Court?

Some are still there and they cannot be counted upon to follow the Constitution, just like the Democrat President’s choices.

The question is, who will Hillary or Bernie put on the Supreme Court (?), not Trump.

Cruz has already siad he will not be Trump's VP.

Trump will add to his base Cruz’s Conservative voters

Not a chance in hell. In fact, if Cruz signs on with Trump, I'll never support him again. You are living in a fantasy.

Not fantasy.... just watch the inter-reaction between Cruz/Trump.

A pragmatic Cruz will join in a Trump general election run and win!

Drawing limes in the sand is a loser’s ploy......

We need to elect a president that can talk over both the MSM and the Democrats in Congress....Someone that can get the people behind him on every issue....sorry, but that man will be Trump....for better or for worse....

Nominee for silly post of the year award anyone?
It's Trump who's sister is a hard core abortion supporter, who Trump says will make an excellent Supreme Court Justice. That's all one needs to know. Meanwhile Ted Cruz actually clerked for Chief Justice William Rehnquist who had impeccable conservative credentials. I would trust Ted Cruz with a Supreme Court nomination than anyone else.

If someone else is plowing my field being battered by the hot sun, dirty in the stirred up dirt, I guess I'll just let him plow.

A pragmatic Cruz [...]

If Cruz had a pragmatic bone in his body, I wouldn't care for him a bit. Pragmatism is always the enemy of principle. Perhaps you are projecting...

Drawing limes in the sand is a loser’s ploy......

Right... Tell that to them boys that were at Iwo Jima.

We need to elect a president that can talk over both the MSM and the Democrats in Congress....Someone that can get the people behind him on every issue....

No we don't - We need a President that will do the right thing regardless of the MSM and the Democrats in Congress. Talk is cheap. The work is in the doing.

sorry, but that man will be Trump....for better or for worse....

No, there has never been a president from the right who has ever won without Christians particularly, and Conservatives in general. Trump will not have the Christian Right, and I doubt very highly that he has Conservatives, even now, but especially before it's done.

The problem with populists is that they don't really stand for anything except being popular. My bet is that Trumps electoral demise will come with his foot planted firmly in his own mouth.

"....who Trump says will make an excellent Supreme Court Justice".

A very nasty half-truth. In a casual interview, and with pride in his accomplished sister, Trump said she would make an excellent justice.

The next sentence you conveniently left out...the fact that he went on to say that she doesn't have the slightest interest in the job.

Are you posting here to fool freepers all the time or just most of the time?

You mention Hillary and the Supreme Court, and rightly so.

You mention the Republicans, but hey wait! Isn’t Ted Cruz a Republican??

So was Reagan (who started as a Democrat) - what's your point????

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other who enjoys the fruits of others' work for your own benefit.

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

Trump’s sister Mary Ann Berry was a colleague of Sam Allito (she spoke for his confirmation hearing in his behalf). They have identicle voting records on abortion The case you are referring to is identicle to a case from Nebrasca adjudicated by the Supreme Court hours before they made their decision The falicious idea that she is soft on abortion is propagated by the extreme left and STUPID people who are too lazy to look up the truth !

Thank Leni for the heads up !

“Today conservatives are in the position of saying, “Help us Ted Cruz. You are our only hope.””

That’s just gay.”

Cruz is being assigned divine status. It is getting creepy.
