When I watched the video, he said that as an almost off-hand comment, but it's such a obvious truth that I never really thought about it. It seems to me that Christianity is frequently depicted as something entirely foreign to the region, imposed by evil Westerners when, in fact, the muslims were the invaders and imperialists.
Yea, its an obvious truth that we sometimes forget. Also to the extend of how much Christianity used to occupy the Middle East. We also forget that most of the advancement in science that happen in the Middle East all happened during Christian rule, until Islam took over
