House GOP Leadership: Foreign Worker Increase Needed Because of “Labor Shortage†by MARK KRIKORIAN December 17, 2015
House GOP Whip Steve Scalise sent an e-mail to his members this morning defending the immigration increase that the Republican leadership had secretly slipped into the omnibus funding bill. (It is shown below.) The provision would potentially quadruple the issuance of H-2B worker visas, which are for non-agricultural seasonal jobs. The visas are used to import cheap labor for ski resorts, hotels, factories, landscapers, and others. (See this 2010 paper on this racket by a former State department visa officer.) Most of the e-mail is the usual lobbyist-written baloney, but it takes an especially clumsy (or shameless) lobbyist to try to justify this captive-worker program by citing “the current and projected H2B worker shortageâ€. Worker shortage? To get a sense of how ridiculous that is, just one number: In the second quarter of this year there were 6.5 million people working part-time who said they wanted full-time work but couldn’t find it.

first of all, 75 million of those are voluntarily retired, etc...that’s why they are not in the work force.
Second, if you think the other 15 million want the UNSKILLED LOW SKILLED jobs, you’re living in a delusional world occupied by only those who have never had to hire labor in their existence.
This where you again prove that your brain has no ability to function....I’m not talking about “AVERAGE” jobs....I’m talking about the LOW LOW end of the scale, and yet, jobs that are needed.

According to the BLS 14.5 % of the population is over 65. That would equal 43 million ( a lot of people work after 65 ). That would mean 50 million people not on the workforce between 17 - 65. 50 million..... That is the population of Spain.

I’ve hired a lot. In a data center I managed I tried one of the H-1B’s HR was pushing on me. Well he lasted about a year. 4 DUI’s later and he was back home on Pakistan. See these third worlders from Muslim countries get a taste of freedom and the hang out in topless bars and drink constantly. I’ve talked to others with similar experiences, it is a cultural thing.
While genocide is indefensible & evil, I have no issues with how Europe dealt with its communists in the 1930s and 40s (they were vindicated by the next 50 years of communism). Every totalitarian state arose in response to the threat of communist revolution (often after the “old order” - the monarchy - had been toppled). Europe was living through what we are seeing now: the eradication of their culture and faith and replacement with a soulless cultural vacuum. Our communists today are doing the same thing; I am probably typing some of the posts to which you refer.

Germans were always known for their efficiency; add to that the grudge from the Nazi era, and that makes sense. Hitler tried to ensure, in his final days, that his successors would never have to deal with the scourge of communism again.

With the rates that lawyers charge there must be a labor shortage in the lawyer occupation. We need H-1b quota for good cheap lawyers....
