not bad for a non-serious candidate ;)
“In the last two go-rounds Evangelicals have backed Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum, both of whom were managed by Laudner”
Sounds like Trump has a better shot at Iowa than I would have thought.
Marines detest coming in second place in anything, just like Trump. You can be sure he will give it his all to reach the objective.
The tidbit that keeps percolating up in these articles is the size difference between Trump’s crowds and everyone else. Getting a handful of people together will not stand up to the huge crowds Trump draws.
I think the Iowa contests are going to surprise a lot of people. Folks I’ve talked to seem to think that Trump’s entire campaign is just the rallies he’s conducting. I always maintain that Trump is so successful because he has a knack of hiring the right people and staffing all his top positions with the best people available. I believe that the same is true with his campaign. He’s probably the best organized candidate in the field.
Not bad for a carnival barker and a buffoon!
He has at least one captain in each of the 1,682 precincts in the state. Each will have the name and contact information of 40 or more residents by February 1st.
Santorum won four years ago with 27,000 total caucus votes.
If Trump even gets just an average of 20 votes per precinct, that will be 33,640 votes. His campaign says that have 40 or more contacts in each precinct.
While the evangelical turnout produced winners in the past, Trump has potential to swamp them if he can get enough new voters into the process.
Very interesting. Good article.
