Donald Trump’s Proposal To Halt Muslim Immigration Is Prudent, Wise, Brilliant and Long Overdue…

After decades of culturally-dominating politically correct drum-beating that numbs the average psyche (from accepting common sense), it might take a few minutes for the prudent position of Donald Trump to sink-in.

However, once you get beyond the trained instinct of hysteria, and focus on the substantive request, to: “shutdown Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on” – it actually makes a great deal of sense.

uch a position is really not the least bit controversial, and that’s exactly what makes it so brilliant on many levels.

Of course, if you are not willing to accept the concept of Islamic Jihad – and/or if you are unwilling to accept that Islamic Terrorists have been targeting us for the past decade – well, in that instance Trump’s position might seem controversial. However, for the rest of us, it makes a great deal of sense.

Why would an American convert to a religeon that says NOT to pledge allegiance to the USA but to Sharia?

I agree they bear watching, but that distinction wasn't made.

It’s not stopping immigration. It’s forbidding any Muslim from any nationality from entering the U.S. for any reason. Though Trump did say he might waive it for U.S. servicemen who were Muslin.

The policy will be temporary but last until CAIR figures out a system to turn in terrorists and reward and protect anyone who turns in terrorists.

I'm in agreement, however, the delineation may need to centered on specific countries, rather than a particular religion, just so it'll meet with less time-consuming resistance from those who oppose it.

I do wish Trump had instead specified countries, such as no one from (name all that apply), and all visa waivers the EU will be canceled.

Here’s the deal: They don’t care if we die. Repeat it to yourself. They do not care. They care about themselves, power, money, position, and about whatever the country club set thinks. They are part of an elite cabal that hopes that great number of our population just go away so they don’t have to figure out how to give us anything ....jobs, benefits, healthcare, safe places to live and work.

Great post..AND they don't even care if they're elected. The ONLY thing is to advance the agenda. As long as it's one of "them" it's all good.

.

So ... how many more innocent Americans will be slaughtered like dogs by Islam ?

The cosmic level of denial by our “elected leaders” is approaching criminal malfeasance of office ... and defacto treason ...

Buddists and Baptists don’t murder or behead innocent people — Islam does, and actively encourages it in the Koran ... go read it yourself ...

Donald Trump knows exactly what he’s talking about ...

I suggest that these GOPe “Isalmic Apologists” throw a baby shower for the next “nice” Islamic couple down the street, or who work in their office for five years, and PRAY TO GOD that the “nice” Islamic couple doesn’t MURDER them all in cold-blood ...

Americans are sick-and-tired of the suicidal “politically correct” nonsense spewed daily by our arrogant and corrupt political aristocracy ...

“...See, my point is that a blanket ban will need to give way to certain exceptions...”

Why complicate it? Next thing, we’ll have lawyers arguing for months over the definition of the different flavors of islam (spit) and then another one, two or twelve Jihadis get through and a Disney park (or whatever) becomes a killing ground.

Trump is not my guy, unless he makes it to the general. But just because it is Trump offering up this novel idea (being reasonable and prudent) that does not automatically render it invalid.

ALL refugees fleeing Syria had to pass though a neighboring country where - once they set foot across the border - their so called “oppression” ceased. The *only* reason they come to the USA, France, Germany, England is for the free benefits & welfare. Otherwise, they could go to Serbia, Bosnia, Latvia etc. The reason they don’t is that those countries won’t give them all the handouts we do.

“Profiling” for immigrants is both reasonable and prudent. Ellis Island was built for clear, obvious, reasonable and prudent precautions. We have options to filter all “refugees” somewhere offshore (Gitmo and/or other sites) who “profile” as muslim before allowing them entry/access. We did it as recently as the 90’s with El Salvadorans, Cubans and Haitians and they weren’t declaring war on us or trying to kill us in bunches. To even *hint* that it is inappropriate with muslims is indefensible. Adhering to “political correctness” in this situation is unarguably suicidal.

My guess is that President Trump will appoint people who will appreciate practicality. He will keep a few lawyers on retainer as I'm sure he does now. The Constitutional lawyers like Cruz should be at the top of his list.

Yes, he does. His style is to release the overarching message watch the pundits and GOPe go agog, his numbers rise, he releases more details, and everyone moves on to the next ‘crisis’. Five steps ahead, always.

One thing Mr. Trump did again is draw the focus to himself and get free media exposure. He is living rent free in the heads of the masses. Love him or hate him, if everyone is talking about him and watching him he is advancing in some way. Guaranteed.

The #1 job of the POTUS and the fed gvt is to protect American Citizens. Obama has consciously dropped our guard as he is intent on seeing whitey and Christians get a major beat down, of which we are so deserving.

It’s as rational and simple as it gets...

1. 90% of all terrorists worldwide are muslims
2. We cannot tell a priori which muslim is good and which is bad
3. You don’t want terrorists in your country
4. Solution - don’t let any muslims in. And the ones that are here, watch ‘em like a hawk.

It’s not as though we can’t do without them.

GO TRUMP!

Trump could shut up his critics by simply asking, why exactly do we need more Muslims? Is there something they provide by coming here that we can’t get along with?

So... for example, a member of the Kurdish peshmerga who most here would agree have been great allies in Iraq would be refused entry?

How about Americans who for whatever reason, convert to islam.. should they have their citizenship stripped and be summarily deported?

You are falling into the same deception trap that the media wants you to. They are deliberately misreporting what he (and the rest of us Americans) really wants.

He never said "stop forever" or completely block. Think of it as "delay until we understand the problem." that is a completely reasonable response to the world-wide moslem problem we have. After 9/11 all commercial flights were grounded for 4 days. Was this an over-reaction? I agreed with the halt at the time even though it impacted me a lot. I missed my father's funeral.

This is the same thing. Stop while we see what the real problem is. Then continue with new safety precautions in place.

I am a firm believer that “Political Correctness” has rotted the brains of all the politicians. They are so afraid of offending anyone that they are tongue tied. So scared that they may offend one voter they run and hide every time a controversial subject appears. And that is the very thing that makes them useless.

Not at all.. I was just trying to flesh out what FReepers are interpreting from it. Trump wasn't particularly clear in his statement.

If one merely reads his entire statement, it will be immediately plain that the halt is only temporary.

The media wants you to think he is proposing a permanent ban, and are portraying it as such. They never let the truth keep them from smearing someone.

As far as what other Freezers say, why read page after page of commentary and not bother to read the original? We are all reading this on a computer connected to the internet. the original is available in seconds.
