It is a conservative Utopian dream that Ted Cruz could be elected. He would be the best shot Hillary Clinton has of somehow winning. Everything that hasn’t worked against Trump would collapse Cruz. The media would make him out to be a Hispanic Uncle Tom (BTW in a big survey done in Nevada shows it is Trump not Cruz who leads among Hispanics) Moreover, because he is a “close the borders guy” his money would dry up very quickly. The RNC does not want a “close the borders guy” to win. Please remember McDaniel O’Donnell Angell and Cuccinelli. There are no valuable positions Cruz holds that Trump doesn’t hold. The difference is that Cruz won’t be able to get them done and Trump will. Cruz has made some bad votes and that would be used to call him a hypocrite Do you think Cruz could get endorsed by Black Ministers. They’re backing Trump not because they don’t like Hillary Clinton but because they do like Trump. Trump is getting 31% of Hispanics and between 13 and 25% of Blacks - don’t believe that if you want but there is no way Cruz gets anymore than the usual Republican 30% Hispanics and 7% Blacks. Even if he gets 50% of Hispanics - not likely but let’s just say Cruz gets 50% of Hispanics - he still doesn’t come close.
How does Cruz build the wall? How does Cruz create job opportunities? Why is Trump WAY ahead of Cruz on fighting ISIS Shutting down the borders Fixing the economy and dealing with world problems?
Sure it’s fun to dream about Ted Cruz as president but it will never happen and in less than two months the country will see that.

No. John Ellis Bush is the best chance of HRC winning. Old against the old. Dynasty versus dynasty.

That doesn't mean Trump cannot win.

But you know, Mr. Trump and Senator Cruz have been most gracious to each other. And although you might find a Cruz supporter who cannot stomach Trump and blasts him in posts here, there are many more who love the fact that the combination locks the Establishment out of the top tier, and believe the Mr. Trump deserves a fair shake and a chance to be heard and voted for on the merits of his candidacy.

This Cruz supporter knows that Trump is a nationalist who can lock the Establishment out in the northeast, the GOP-E home turf.

Those of us who support Cruz might be willing to support Trump if Cruz doesn't win by Florida, but the fastest way to make that unlikely is to use the same arguments that the GOP-E uses, that Cruz cannot win.

Right now, the GOP-E doesn't know how to play this. Heck, even a bullet to Trump's brain would almost assure a Cruz win and vice versa. It is a lot harder for them to fix caucuses and primaries when our voters are largely in suburban and rural areas, not the cities where fixing things is a habit. Trump has figured out that if he has to have AN opponent, Cruz is the man he wants.

BTW, I am personally of the mind that if HRC could beat Trump one on one, then it will make little difference even if Trump were elected, as the combination of evil, soulless and stupid voters will have gotten to be too great.

I am voting for the man who I believe would be the best president, Ted Cruz. I understand the reasoning of those who have concluded that Donald Trump is that man, and at this time there is no reason for us to fight each other. We have a common enemy.
