It is being reported that Enrique Marquez purchased the rifles in 2011 and 2012. The relationship is not very well identified. Marquez checked himself into a mental hospital a few hours after the attack. This story gets more weird as each day passes...
CALIFORNIA – Eyewitness News obtained a photo of San Bernardino shooter Syed Farook's former neighbor, Enrique Marquez, who allegedly bought two of the four weapons used in Wednesday's massacre.
Marquez allegedly purchased the two "assault-style" rifles over three years ago. Authorities haven't been able to talk to him because he checked himself into a mental hospital after the attack, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.
Authorities with guns drawn raided Marquez's home in Riverside early Saturday, breaking windows and using a cutting torch to get into the garage, neighbors said.
FBI Director James Comey said the gun purchaser was "not a suspect, at least at this point."
Neighbors say Marquez lives in the Riverside home with his mother, stepdad and other siblings and that he mostly kept to himself. (read more)

Sort of funny about the mental hospital. People used to turn to the church for asylum. Now it’s the state. I wonder if this is a standard islamist escape plan for lone wolves.

Didn’t this happen to one of the perps who helped those two killers escape from a NY prison earlier in the year? One of them checked into a mental hospital. Considering there are no more mental hospitals, I’m not sure where these folks are going...

There are mental hospitals. Most are just outside of major military bases, or government installations. Your idea is absolutely wrong. Why is that?
