WHAT? Trump Says Ben Carson is Sort of Like a Child Molester!
Truth Revolt ^ | 11/12/15 | Caleb Howe

Posted on 11/12/2015 6:29:36 PM PST by markomalley

On CNN today, Donald Trump had another moment that is sure to haunt news and social media for days, when he made a comparison between Dr. Ben Carson and child molesters:

He said he's pathological, somebody said he's got pathological disease, other people said he said in the book, I haven't seen it but I know it's in the book that he's got a pathological temper or temperament. That's a big problem because you don't cure that. That's like, you know, I could say, they say you don't cure, as an example, child molester. You don't cure these people. You don't cure a child molester. There's no cure for it. Pathological, there's no cure for that.

Trump added "I'm not saying anything, I'm not saying anything other than pathological is a very serious disease," but he was arguably well past the point of no return by then. Trump supporter Jeffrey Lord was on later to discuss the comment and said the Trump just "reached out for something that he thought was pathological."

Yes, well .. reach better, guy. When a CNBC moderator made a comic book comparison with Trump, the Donald and his fans were outraged. Imagine if that moderator had said this about Trump.

The option they are giving us is that either Trump is too dumb to know comparing pediatric brain surgeon Dr. Carson to a child molester would be outrageous and go viral, or he knew that's exactly what would happen and maliciously made the comparison. That's what we're left with. Dumb or malicious.

Unless you want to chose both.

Uncomfortable.

I suspect Trump did not accidentally let this slip. He doesn't typically make such errors.

A shot over the bow?

Ronald Reagan would never have stooped so low.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Trump just threw out some bait based on rumors and innuendo he picked up about Carson. A lot of people think he comes up with these outrageous comments out of thin air, but he has shown an uncanny ability to get away with saying almost anything.

The fact is, pathological behavior in many instances is NOT something that can be ‘cured’, and child molestation is a prime example of that. Trump did NOT call Carson a child molester and any one with a room temperature IQ can see that from his comments. It was CARSON himself, who stated that he had suffered from ‘pathological behavior’ in the past, and quite frankly that is on a par with the revelation in 1972 that then Missouri Senator Thomas Eagleton had been hospitalized for depression and administered shock therapy, which resulted in him being dropped from the ‘RAT ticket headed by George McGovern.

Everyone is slobbering and drooling, thinking that this is what is going to ‘take Trump down’, however even a casual read of his comments reveals that he did NOT state that Carson was a pedophile, he stated (accurately) that pathological behavior is a serious matter, no matter what shape or form it takes.

Well if Carson himself said he’s pathological then Trump is right, that’s something very serious. I have no idea if Carson said he was though, but I will say I don’t like how Carson talks. He seems a little too devoid of emotion which at least to me puts up some red flags.

If a Dr diagnoses himself as “pathological,” I would pay strict attention.

That's a TRUE piece of wisdom you've conveyed.

Uncomfortable?

I am sure you would agree electing a President with pathological issues affecting temper or temperament would also be quite uncomfortable.

Trump needs a new makeup artist or stop wearing goggles when he gets a tan. He’s looking ridiculous, he’s got an orange face and purple eyes.

If Trump had been the recipient of such a comparison, there would be screeching, squealing and gnashing of teeth here in FR like never before.

“Ronald Reagan would never have stooped so low.”

One of many reasons Trump isn’t remotely close to being in Reagan’s league.

Carson said in his book he had pathological disease, in the section where he described trying to stab his friend and attacking his mother with a hammer.

Yep, Carson said he has pathological disease in his book. Before I knew this, my daughter who frequently has contact with mental patients in her job, mentioned that Carson spoke and had mannerisms like the patients she sees who are on antipsychotic mood controlling drugs.
