The recent debate debacle on CNBC has shone new light on what all of us here have long known to be true: the media has a tremendous institutional bias. We've learned today that only 7% of journalists are Republican. But the resident evil of the MSM bias is best demonstrated in how they identify and depict three types of individuals...
Where were the "moderate" Muslim voices then?
Today, innocent Israelis are being attacked all over Israel by Islamic radicals.
Where are the "moderate" Muslim voices rising up to denounce these heinous crimes?I've never seen, let alone met one.
The MSM also assumes that all blacks vote Democrat in lockstep; that they all favor a bigger government, and more governmental largesse.
A black conservative; a Ben Carson, an Alan West, a Tim Scott....these are rarities...nay, anomalies...not quite figments of the imagination, but according to the MSM, you have a better chance of winning the lottery than actually meeting one.
There are in fact far more blacks who are innately conservative; who don't hold with the radical views expressed by the so-called black leadership that is centered in the Democrat Party.I know many at the local level. But for the most part, they have yet to emerge and oust the old-line liberal black leadership.
Which brings us to what some feel is that oddest of all political creatures, the Jewish Republican. There is no rational reason for American Jews to gravitate to the Democrats. It is the Republicans who have long been Israel's best friends and strongest supporters.
Jews supposedly identify with FDR as the reason for their near century long support of the Democrat party. Yet the Jews who lost millions of their own in the concentration camps were eager to embrace FDR, who was busy construction internment camps here in America for our own citizens, who just happened to be or Japanese ancestry. And it was FDR's administration that refused to admit tens of thousands of European Jews before the war started; condemning most to death in Hitler's gas ovens.
Today, Obama is pursuing policies and politics that pose an existential threat to Israel's existence; yet he, and the Democrats, still enjoy huge support from American Jews; when in fact they should overwhelmingly be opposed to them. But given that all the Democrat Jewish senators are happily betraying Israel, and their fellow Jews, by supporting Obama, should we be surprised? Yet it is possibly the Republican Jew which is the rarest specimen of all. And that is all the more surprising given that American Jews should easily be able to see, and recognize, the handwriting on the wall.
Not only does the MSM propagate an ongoing lie; but it does so in a manner that seemingly defies all logic and common sense.
There’s no such thing as a moderate muslim. Islam is a violent ideology that seeks world dominance and espouses a convert or die methodology.

I know some Jewish Republicans...but I think that Black conservatives and moderats Muslims are just a myth.
A moderate Muslim is a agnostic Muslim.
There are plenty of black conservatives and some Jews. A lot of our Jews are politically crazy by standing with the left. You have to go to Israel to find most of the Jews that still have huevos. We have a tiny population of fashion all Jews politically in the U.S. IMO.
I’ve met black conservatives and Republican Jews. Never met a “moderate” muslim. Their book makes that an impossibility.
If they are devout followers of their prophet they are committed to Islamic supremacy, slavery and death for all non-muslims.

There is no comparison between “ultra orthodox Jews” and muslims.
None.
There are no moderate muslims. All muslims ALL ALL ALL believe the entire world must come under sharia law. This is the “Peace of islam”. There are some muslims that don’t approve of violent jihad (not many) but regardless, ALL muslims are the enemy of ALL other cultures.
There are lots of honest liberals - they call themselves Communists.
(Granted, communism is only lies.)
Why do we need to put everyone into these little groups? That is what liberals do.

There are Black Conservatives. I have met many of them. They just don't often get into the news streams for people to be familiar with them.
The media routinely edits them out because they threaten the Liberal monolith.
A Muslim who is "moderate" is a heretic to his faith. When called upon it, they will reaffirm their faith by becoming vicious. If they do not, they will be killed by the members of their faith who are true to it.
muslims are like a box of dynamite.....lying dormant until lit by a Friday night fuse in the local mosque. There are no moderate muslims since they all play by the same play book...the koran.
It can’t be black conservatives or Jewish R’s. There are a lot of both.
I figured the three made a mistake on their ballot.
Pigeonholing is part of human nature. We all try to interpret data by placing it into categories. It is a shorthand method for dealing with different facets of the world.
For example, humans prefer "yes" or "no" answers. They don't like shades of gray or probability equations. Those are too difficult to process. They prefer answers in black or white because then the responses to them become easier.
Hence categorization. It's actually a survival trait.
When a person sees a snake, it is imperative that they react immediately rather than take time pondering whether or not it is deadly. Therefore they categorize all snakes as "potentially deadly" so that they can react quickly.
It may not be perfectly accurate, but it is better to err on the side of caution.
This site is really starting to concern me lately.
You have to take the bad with the good. Some people here are sensible, some people here are less so. We are a cross section of a large group of people, and it's very unlikely any of us are perfect. :)
I think you’re missing my point.
Identity politics is a decidedly liberal trait. To liberals, you’re not an American, you’re a “Jewish American”, or an “African American”, or whatever. Rush Limbaugh has spoken about this quite a bit.
But my larger point is that the conversation here on FR has really coarsened over recent years. You haven’t been here on FR that long, so maybe that’s not obvious to you. IMHO, the site has grown less about conservatism, and more about populism, and there’s an increasingly disturbing amount of hate here. I doubt that it’s JimRob that has changed - just the type and attitudes of people that post here.
