As I stated as a reply to another post...
I will not rally round Carson. I don’t think that he has the skill set for the job. Period.
That being said, I also find it curious that his story changes and that incidents he references either have people long gone or people who do not want to be contacted. I’ve seen people who offer the ‘do you trust me or them’ and if it comes to blind trust, I’m on the ‘trust but verify’ side. Carson did state that he’d been offered a full scholarship. I saw the video where he made that statement. He did not hedge when he stated that as fact. Now he’s hedging. I’ve read the story about the attempt to stab someone at least two different ways. Apparently, he’s comfortable with telling the same story differently, with conflicting details. I’m not comfortable with reading that. I want someone to keep his story straight, especially if I’m considering voting for him. Is Carson’s mother still alive? Can she corroborate his wanting or trying to attack her with a hammer?
I tend to go with my gut instinct, and I’m getting bad vibes from Carson.
I will add to this post—Carson got himself into this mess by statement he made or wrote. He’s going to have to get himself out of it. I still won’t vote for him.
Why does anyone pay attention to these people anymore?
I’ll be damned if I join the Leftist Media in this despicable hatchet job on a good and decent man, Ben Carson. He may not be my number one choice for president but this coordinated Media assault and so-called “conservative” bashing of Carson is beyond the pale.

I don’t like him. I don’t trust him and think he’s a little whacked out. But he was exemplary in his field.
Rallying around Hillary is the ultimate sucker play.
Carson is a great doctor but he is a strange bird at the same time.. I have tried to listen to the man for the last few months and I still can’t tell you where he stands on the issues.. he will never be elected President and I doubt he could ever be elected to a statewide office either.. it’s not his field

All of these words and the entire conspiracy theory that goes with it can be narrowed down to “vote Trump”.

Either one of them is going to keep on getting hit hard by the DemoRAT media - like the Politico DemoRAT hack KYLE CHENEY - and you are fighting against others in the same side.
I am for Ted Cruz, but I will defend any DemoRAT attack that are as ludicrous as the lying Politico DemoRAT hit piece on Carson to the best it can be defended.

Here a notion. Rather then waste our time for these emotion based flatulent personal attack posts every day, try making a case FOR your candidate once.
Let see Leftists made up a smear that would totally destroy Carson and less then 12 hours after it was published, the smear merchants are Politco were forced to walk back the smear. Seems to me the evidence is on the Carson teams side rather then the attack bots side on this one.

Me neither. I was never a supporter, but it is interesting to see hoards of apparently lesser-intelligent FReepers who never supported Ben before suddenly rallying around him just because the media is taking him down based on opponents secretly exposing Ben’s lies and BS.
It is indeed a sucker play to support a liar like this guy, especially one in which there are no doubt lots of other shoes getting ready to drop.
And quite frankly, it’s a good thing to see Ben taken out this early. The usual modus operandi of the Democrat-PAC media is to build up a candidate with hidden feet of clay (think Herman Caine), and then chop their knees out from under them at the very end in order to destroy the GOP. I’m delighted to see this process accelerated and the Trojan horses burned early in the game.
And I do sense that Donald’s hand is on the hidden sword that’s chopping Carson down right now. Donald’s a smart and ruthless guy, and it’s far cheaper for Trump to get the media to crucify Ben instead of paying for a bunch of negative TV ads. I mean really, no one really believes that it’s all just a big coincidence Carson is being slaughtered in the media like this just as he was supposedly rising in the polls above Trump, do we?
As stated above I just do not think Carson is the man for the job. He will get steam rolled by the GOPE.
I thought the same thing. I think that I hey want Carson to dra the Evangelical support away from Trump and Cruz. Cruz, mostly. Wat they aren’t telling you is that Trump is still leading Carson and Cruz is still tied with Rubio.
The articles on the WSJ, totally ignore Cruz, as if he isn’t even running.
