Loretta Sanchez has been in Congress for almost 20 years and is a poster child for term limits, not because or careerist corruption, but because the American people shouldn't be allowed to elect someone who is so stupid wield so much power ad infinitum.
She has her tyranny all in a bunch over Donald Trump hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend.
It's hard to believe a member of the United States Congress did not said this even a liberal one...but she said it.
"I believe in free speech and the First Amendment, you're correct from that standpoint,
And then she goes on to demostrate how stupid she thinks we all are...
except for you're not allowed to go into an auditorium and yell, 'Fire, fire, fire!'," Representative Loretta Sanchez (D., Calif) told CNN's Brooke Baldwin. "And in the same way, I believe it's up to SNL to understand that when they put Donald Trump in front of people and he says these type of derogatory comments, that has a direct relationship to what is happening out in everyday lives of Latinos.""For example, back in June, when in Boston a Hispanic male was beat up almost to the point of death, and the person who beat him up said to the police, 'Well, Donald Trump is right, these illegal aliens are just not supposed to be here,'" Sanchez said.
"We are upset that Mr. Trump is hosting this, rather than just being a skit; it is enabling him, after he has said these derogatory comments," she continued. "And NBC Universal said to us early on, we're not going to stand for this. So we are simply pushing back at SNL and saying, 'Uh-uh, this is not correct and you're endangering Latinos when you do this type of a thing.'
Basically, the first amendment doesn't allow NBC to have Donald Trump on television (anymore) because some crazy person, who managed to limbo under the low bar of intelligence idiots like Sanchez have set for society, invoked his name after beating up an illegal immigrant...because it's the equivalent of yelling "fire" in a crowded room. (I'm going to take her at her word that story is true, I barely have enough energy to respond to the rest of it)
We should just start calling Democrats "Banana Republicans," because this is the kind of childishly evil BS that takes place in totalitarian states. If Sanchez feels entitled to say there is no constitutional protection for someone who offends her to host a comedy show, then surely she feels entitled to dictate whether or not Trump should even be allowed to run for President, much less actually be elected.
I would actually go along with her on this if we were allowed to take this argument to its logical conclusion that if the first amendment should be null void for people who have ever said anything that's messed up. We could wave a magic wand and it would look like the rapture came to Hollywood and the MSM. Then, Democrats should only be allowed to broadcast their garbage with two cans and some string because listening to them anywhere makes me want to punch things too, so clearly we should say 'Uh-uh, this is not correct and you're endangering reality itself when you do this type of a thing...liberaling around like you do.'.
If you watch the video here you can see the panelist on the right of the screen, Matt Wilstein from the Daily Beast, have a small, very repressed, chuckle at the "fire" analogy that surely must have caused internal bleeding, because it's not safe to hold stuff like that in...

Agreed, that was my initial reaction as well...but she would still be doing this regardless of whether this incident happened, she’d just come up with something else to say.

The incident in Boston did happen but Trump immediately disavowed any support of it. It would be like if I went to beat a white heterosexual male up and then said “Obama is right, white male homosexuals are evil.” I would go to jail. Well, theoretically anyways.

More and more I am beginning to support term limits. I never thought that would happen, but there are far too many idiots in office, and that is a very, very bad thing.
Texas has it right. They keep the legislature out of session most of the time.
The predict record high ratings, it should be pretty interesting with DT hosting. I haven’t tuned in live to SNL in years, probably will still just tape it.
