According to a recent news release in PR Newswire, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) has announced its support of White County Tennessee school board members who unanimously adopted a pro-Islam seventh grade textbook, which was imposed on TN counties by the stateâs Textbook Committee. CAIR has labeled opponents of the controversial textbook âIslamaphobes.â
A 2014 article in the National Review, âIs CAIR a Terror Group?â Daniel Pipes reports this evidence: âUnited Arab Emiratesâ (UAE) ministerial cabinet had listed the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as one of 83 proscribed terrorist organizationsâ¦with the Taliban, al-Qaeda, and ISIS.â In 2004, CAIR filed a defamation lawsuit over the claim, which the UAE handily won when CAIR settled âwith prejudiceâ which means the suit cannot be reopened. The proof of CAIRâs terrorist ties remains implicitly accurate.
âAt a time when Christians are being tortured, raped and beheaded by Islamists in Syria and hundreds of thousands of Christians are fleeing for their lives throughout the Middle East, the fact that CAIR condemns the citizens of White County rather than condemning what is being done daily in the name of Islam says everything our students need to know about Islam.â said Dale Walker, President of the Tennessee Pastors Network in a recent TNPN news release.
CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper indicated in a 1993 interview with the Minneapolis Star Tribune he wants to see the U.S. become a Muslim country. âI wouldnât want to create the impression that I wouldnât like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future,â Hooper told the paper. âBut Iâm not going to do anything violent to promote that. Iâm going to do it through education.â
