But of course Obama probably asked the Chinese to complain so he could look bad ass when in effect he stayed in international waters and is actually kowtowing to China.

There’s no black people there, there’s no Muslims to speak of. There are no long-standing American-leftist narratives to guide him there. They are communists, but his political roots and certainly his leftist base and labor aren’t particularly fond of China.
