This week, Barack Obama sent a guided missile destroyer into disputed waters in the South China Sea to see if the Chinese would start shooting at it. Yes, this is what he actually did. Fortunately for us, the Chinese backed down and did not follow through on their threats to take military action. Instead, the Chinese have chosen to respond with very angry words. The Chinese ambassador to the United States, Cui Tiankai, says that what Obama did was “a very serious provocation, politically and militarily.†And as you will see below, a state-run newspaper stated that China “is not frightened to fight a war with the US in the regionâ€. So why in the world would Obama provoke the Chinese like this? Yes, the Chinese claims in the South China Sea are questionable. But there are other ways to resolve things like this. My friend Rick Wiles began his radio broadcast yesterday by suggesting that these kinds of actions show that Barack Obama has become “mentally unstableâ€, and I would have to agree. You don’t risk military confrontations that could potentially spark World War III unless you have a really good reason to do so.

Remember when the Chinese downed an American EP-3 intelligence plane in 2001? How do we know that Obama doesn't want the Chinese to get their hands on this ship, too?

The Chinese may be a lot of things, buy aren't aren't dumb.
On the one hand, this administration quickly points to UN authority when it comes to its desire to implement internal regulations on say gun control, global warming, sustainability, etc. But when it comes to other countries, this administration wants to unilaterally force its will. Something is screwed up here, if you ask me.

Obama doesn’t know what to do about China.
There’s no black people there, there’s no Muslims to speak of. There are no long-standing American-leftist narratives to guide him there. They are communists, but his political roots and certainly his leftist base and labor aren’t particularly fond of China.
As such, his ideological glasses, through which he must process everything, just don’t work.
China probably understands this. In light of that, you can argue that China could have been even much more aggressive over these past 8 years than they have been.
The USA is not going to start "making things again" probably ever. The leftist unions, minimum wage morons and anti-capitalist socialists in charge of running and ruining the nation will make damned sure of that. It's all about creating dependency upon foreign goods and destroying us from within for these leftists.... and then of course, blaming capitalism for the resultant destruction.

If the UN can't play a role in making a determination and ruling on something as simple as this, and which has multinational interest, what the hell good is the UN?
My other point was: why is this administration so quick to take our country's internal matters before the world court, but not this? Seems counter intuitive to me. But that's just me FRiend.
