According to Dr. Warren J. Blumenfeld, who is a staff member of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, hunting animals for sport has many similarities to lynching African Americans.
In his article "White Supremacy and Devaluation of African [Heritage] Lives," Blumenfeld explains how hunting animals in Africa is very similar to murdering black people.
Dr. Blumenfeld begins, "The philosophy and practice of white supremacy devalues all African and African heritage lives whether human or non-human animal. White supremacy links slavery in the "Americas" with the ongoing police killings of unarmed black people and to the killing of animals on the continent of Africa."
"Wealthy white people invade Africa," according to Blumenfeld, "and then track, entice, snare, capture, kill, sometimes skin, and behead majestic and noble animals... These so-called "hunters" kill not for food, but rather, for sport."
This bears a striking resemblance to slavery and lynching African Americans, Blumenfeld claims.
He writes, "When we look side by side of pictures of white people standing with big smiles beneath black people they hanged and white people standing next to African animals they killed, we witness many similarities in what some white people perceive as "tropies [sic].""
African animals' lives matter, Blumenfeld concludes, and are "directly linked" to human lives.
"In the final analysis," he says, "we must see the senseless murder and devaluation of the lives of animals on the continent of Africa as directly linked with the enslavement, segregation, denial of rights, and murder of African heritage people in the United States, for all this attests to the white supremacist plundering of life continuing to this very day."

Depending on the version of the Bible, the 6th Commandment says; Thowt Shalt Not Kill which translates from the Hebrew text to: Thow Shalt Not Murder. We all understand what murder is, it is to take an innocent life unnecessarily. The Bible also says that God gave man dominion over all of the earth, the birds, the fish, the animals. A human taking an innocent life for food and survival is sanctioned by God but if one does not need to kill to eat and can instead go to a grocery store for ones food thus buying meat that has been slaughtered strictly for the purpose of supplying food, is hunting for the sport of hunting even when one does not need to kill to survive, is that murder that breaks God's law? Some will say, I eat what I kill or I like deer meat and can't buy it in the store so I hunt. The question is; Does God's purpose of the 6th Commandment extend to all life or just human life?

Mind you, it WAS THE BRITISH, that did the hunting in Africa, first.
Second, had not former PRESIDENT Teddy Roosevelt NOT gone to Africa on expedition, we might not have really known more about the wildlife that existed there.
Third, FIRST Americans have been hunting, for nourishment and sustinence from that harvest, far longer in time than any Negro, that arrived by any methods, to this country, and that includes my forebears.
Fourth, as one that has upheld that tradition of my forebears, unless this high-browed negro article author bethinks himself an animal, fear not, he is not on my ‘bucket list’ of future hunting expeditions or scalping raids.
