Why? This idea suggests one of two things:

1)Trump's message is not getting out there or,

2)There are minds to change in the American electorate

This notion stems from people who have a personal, political itch to scratch and believe nobody is doing it for them. It always starts with something like, "Oh if only he said it this way instead of that,". Obsessive people whose constant refrain is, "Yeah, but not quite," when referencing a public figure's statements. As if the proper emphasis will suddenly lock everything in place for the whole of America.

The propaganda war is over. He's spoken to 50 million Americans in the two debates. Trump has won. The remaining question is will he act on what he's said.

Yeah, Fox News is losing its appeal. I would love to see a real conservative channel.

He could buy 10 networks and you would still find something about him to complain about.

I can think of several.

We have several more or less conservative news channels — Newsmax, The Blaze, One America. We need an over-the-air presence.

Several things run thru my mind on this.

Trump is getting ‘free’ coverage, why would he pay to build a T.V. station when he doesn't have to...when he is POTUS, all the channels will be covering him anyway...

Trump is repeating himself on these rallies to see how decidcated his supporters are, if we stick with him, he'll know what he has to do.

Each rally he speaks at he drops a dab here and a dab there, just to see if we are behind him...

It's still early in the campaign and he is still putting little things out there and the other candidates are falling into the trap...look at where bush is today...

Carson isn't the guy now, snarly carly is, but sometime between now and the next debate, she's going to be shoveling dirt right along with the rest of them.

We are seeing a lot, we are hearing a lot, Trump is gathering a lot...so be patient, you'll see what he is doing and why he is doing it...

That is an excellent idea. The only problem I see with it is whether or not Trump really wants to improve the country or is only interested in further pumping up his ego through this Presidential run.

I am suspicious of Trumps commitment to conservative ideas, and worry that he is merely an opportunist.

I notice he made much noise about the Obama birth certificate, but never actually seemed to put out any effort to do anything about it.

I suspected at the time he was just pandering to us "birthers" because he realized it cost nothing to ask the questions, show a little support for the idea, and then walk away from it. He would gain the support of us people who are considered "the fringe" and it really didn't cost him much effort.

But yeah, if Trump is for real, getting him to buy a network and staff it with Conservatives would be a really good idea for helping the country.

A better approach would be to win, get control of the FCC, and then impose regulations unbundle cable and other forms of distribution so that consumers need only pay for the programming they want. That would fracture the financial underpinnings of the networks and cable systems and put consumers in charge of their TV entertainment and educational choices. Today's network news shows would have to be drastically revised to appeal to public taste and would tend to become versions of Fox News.

No secret you don’t like Trump, but the idea would have merits except for the obvious conflict of interest issue with a Presidential Candidate heading up a News Network...Is this a set-up because you know he can’t do what “you wish he would do”?

What's Trump going to do with a network?

He's a Real Estate developer.

Waste of money. Use the net where America lives. DESTROY TV news/Propaganda outlets and make liberals/GOP compete here. Without intrenched aves of support.

If you’re thinking of the Donald Trump channel then wouldn’t he also have to offer equal time to his opponents as the cost of the license?

Advertisers would not have an easy time of it while he is in politics though or it would be good.
