Disclaimer: Your opinion on the debate performances are far more valid than mine. My perspective is skewed because I’m looking through a filter of how Wall Street RNC/GOPe and DNC interests will view and perceive the debate performances.

Baseline – Going into the debate all the candidates, other than Trump, had something to gain and little to lose. Donald Trump had everything to lose and little to gain. With that in mind:

You can bet that the Dems were taking notes
and wanted to see which issue flustered each respective candidate .

Ugh, that whole write up is hard to read. Does anyone believe in editing/proofing anymore, or is it all about being first to press?

Ok, maybe I’m naive but can’t even low information voters see Carly pushing her way through the debate, denying others a chance to speak at all?

First thought (more to come): Fiorina is all about “women’s rights” which I loathe and despise. “Women’s rights (AKA competition with men) has brought us the destruction of the family, 70+ million unborn slaughtered, and dikes coming out of the woodwork.

Generally agree . I thought kasich was the big loser and fiorina is the big phony. But fiorina will be touted as great. Rubio comes across as.the kid who knows all the baseball player stats and steers every conversation to baseball. Good but one dimensional. Cruz is.brilliant but is awful on camera. Christy was good. I admire rand paul for his.edplanation of 14th amendment (carly was twit on this). Huckabee is great but irrelevent. Jeb was bad. Carson does not belong so hard for me to say.

It appears that Sundance has bugged Karl Rove’s phone. No one, in my opinion, is understanding this unfolding plan as precisely as he is.

I hated the way the questions were phrased (ie: gov Kasich said that Ted Cruz was inexperienced to say you would kill the Iran deal on day 1 how do you answer that Senator Cruz?) Why can’t we have a debate where issue only questions are read from the audience and the only thing moderators do is keep the time and stop people like Trump and Fiorina from going off on side tangents and wasting everyone else’s time?

There is nothing more of a turnoff than a woman playing the victim role and she plays it well. She looks like she just ate a huge lemon.

Second thought: Donald missed his chance to nail Fiorina on the “politically correct” theme that won him accolades in the first debate against Meygen Kelly.

What is it with women who want to compete with men but whine and whimper if they’re attacked the way men are? This is where the lack of reason and accountability comes in with women who want to compete with men. If a woman wants to climb into the ring with the guys, then she should take the same blows a man gets. If she doesn’t like it, then she should get the heck out of the ring.

Trump said it right in the first debate: “I don’t have time, and America doesn’t have time, for political correctness.”

I didn't watch the debates last night but have come away with the feeling that the powers that be are pushing Fiorina.

The first indication was when they amended the long set debate rules to include Fiorina.

The resurgence of the war on women as a campaign issue on both sides was the second. This tool is used whenever Trump speaks now, linking his statements somehow to women's issues.

The third hint is in the reviews today from many sources about how strong she was. Their wording although from widely different sources with equally wide interest, sound remarkably similar, like a press release being quoted.

I was frustrated over the government shutdown question. Doesn’t anyone realize that a government shutdown is looming because all spending is lumped into one bill? If we had individual spending bills, it would be hard for Obama to veto the defense bill because congress won’t fund Planned Parenthood. If he did veto it, the blame would be on him and not the republicans.
I realize that the reason for one bill is so that everybody’s “pork” passes, but this is insane.

In short, I pretty much agree with your analysis. Well said.

I will say again, I am convinced the GOPe will find a way to nominate Jeb, but where I was 100% on that for a long time I’m down to about 85%. We must keep the pressure on. We FINALLY have a chance to bring the GOPe to it’s knees and re-make the Party.

Hope I live long enough to see it.

Of course they are pushing FioRINO. Because their anointed one, Bush the 3rd, is failing to resonate.

Kasich is a trial balloon in case jeb fails. He does not have it. Carly is going to get her 15 minutes but she will be a disaster. No humor. Pushy. Disengenuous.

Thank you for posting!! Nice thread!

Nothing much to gain but a lot to lose, for Trump.

It is all rigged to take down Trump, exhaust all the candidates and make distinguished Republicans look like kids in a pie fight.

I abhor the persona of Fiorina. Stepford Wife, there. She will rise because she is a gifted linear word processor. That gift has been behind her rise.

That is the best I can say of her. And, she is no conservative.

“The largest donation to the Fiorina super PAC — close to $1.6 million — came from Jerry Perenchio, the former CEO of Univision and national finance co-chairman for John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign with deep ties to California.”
