Ouch. Trust me when I say - the surgery will be fine. No problems.
But....
Then comes the therapy. Weeks and weeks of therapy.
Then 11 years later.....
The plate in my wrist (from being broke like yours) had rubbed away at the tendons. One day I was moving my wrist and “Pop! Pop! Pop!” (Ow, ow, ow!)
I couldn’t move my index finger and other fingers had limited motion. So, I look up my original surgeon, he’s still a surgeon, so I goes to him. He knows right away what happened. He operates again two days later and takes some tendons out of my hand and grafts (splices) them into the torn and broken tendons in my wrist. More rehab follows and 3 years after that - all better.
