You do not understand the effect just one convention of the states would establish. You are stuck in static analysis.

No member of the Uniparty acknowledges a superior power. It is why Scotus breezily established fag marriage and condoned and participated in rewriting Obamacare. It is why Obama flouts the Law every day.

Yet, there is a superior power. When We The People meet in convention it is in a sovereign capacity that no president, congress or scotus can supersede or overrule.

The solution to the problem of centralized government is obvious. Decentralize the government; amend the structure of government such that power is diffused once again across the member state governments.

A single convention of the states that proposed repeal of the 17th Amendment would have enormous downwind effects. It would put the Uniparty on notice that a higher power is looking over their shoulders and stands ready to reverse tyranny.
