Truth and little toddlers don’t count for much, when you are gung-ho to win a prime ministership for the first time
The picture of the tiny lifeless body of toddler Alan Kurdi, washed up on a Turkish beach, cradled by the policeman who found him, broke the world’s heart and remains as the defining moment of the worst refugee crisis since World War II.
That the Canadian New Democrat Party (NDP) would seize upon the picture in blaming the toddler’s death on the Canadian government, all to propel their leader Thomas Mulcair as the country’s next prime minister is a true story of the outrageous exploitation of the death of an innocent 3-year-old child.
The NDP want voters in Canada’s October 19 election to believe that the Kurdi family’s application for asylum in Canada was rejected by Canada—when in fact Canadian immigration authorities had no record of receiving an application for refugee status for the Kurdi family.
Hope most Canadians are disgusted by it.
