Obama always makes me cringe..he looks so awkward..at least I learnt to hold a pen correctly..

Hes twisting his hand around as though hes crippled in his hand as well as his brain...

It is challenging being a lefty.

You are so right about scissors; ironing is not easy, nor is writing in large books.

My mother gave up on teaching me to knit.

Not a pure lefty though - played tennis left handed, but hockey right handed.

I used to have no problem using those “right handed” scissors..

My left thumb would end up with a red mark and it would hurt to hold the stupid instrument but I was the best cutter outer in my class and the other kids would ask me to help them ..

:)

Your unusual skill must have been an asset to the team.

Keep 'em guessing !

What about that left handed African-American musician?

He was a guitar player, and a son of Al Hendrix.

James Marshall Hendrix, that’s the name.

Known better as “Jimi”

60% of left-handers, the people who have a higher proportion of perfect pitch, have “mixed hand preference”, in which they will switch off between hands for common tasks (switch hitters).

I have a different theory regarding ambidexterity. People who use tools often find themselves working in a space that doesn't allow them to use their dominant hand. Over time they learn to use their other hand with the same dexterity as their normally dominant hand.

If you watch welders, painters, paper hangers, iron workers, and similar you will see them display their talents using screwdrivers, socket wrenches, and power tools with ease while using either hand to get the job done.

Regards,
GtG

PS I have always held that I am ambidextrous, that is equally clumsy with either hand...

There is a correspondence between left handedness and a career involving mathematics and applied sciences. I checked my co-workers in an engineering department and noted nearly 75% were lefties.

Also Judges 20:15-17 “And the children of Benjamin were numbered at that time out of the cities twenty and six thousand men that drew sword, beside the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were numbered seven hundred chosen men. Among all this people there were seven hundred chosen men lefthanded; every one could sling stones at an hair breadth, and not miss. And the men of Israel, beside Benjamin, were numbered four hundred thousand men that drew sword: all these were men of war.”

I can’t read a note and have 0 musical ability.

My sister who is right handed generally plays piano and some other instruments pretty well by ear.

Jimi Hendrix said:

“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.”

If the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body, then left handed people are usually the ones operating in their right mind.

That is, unless low information voters and the populace of a once Christian nation allow a left handed racist fascist leader (who was an effective community organizer) to take charge with their national socialist party.

Is bernie Sanders left handed?

It is very easy to check your dominant side, or your eye doc can tell you which eye (dominant) looks straight, and the weak side eye follows by looking at an angle.

People who get into shooting sports learn this first, and you can google how to do it.
