What a difference 8 days make.

They keep trying to take Trump down and he rebounds even stronger.

Trump is screwing up the DC Uniparty plan to have a Bush v. Clinton match up in 2016, in which Mr. Act-of-Love loses handily.

Thus, the long knives are out for Trump.

The big money people don’t want anyone screwing up the gravy train in DC—the looting of the American must continue unabated.

Trump is in their way.

Shame on all the weak candidates that are aiding and abetting them.

—Don’t be like the Ron Paul fans. The Paul crowd ridiculed and mocked the party bosses, which ended up hurting Paul in the long term. Instead of converting minds, the Paul fans just pushed minds further away, making the party establishment resent them in every way possible.—

Not the same situation. Not by a long shot.

For one thing, it’s the Establishment who’s mocking and ridiculing and trying to get us out. Even Rush said many years ago the GOPe is ‘embarrassed’ by conservatives.

The party bosses do not want to respect the Constitution, nor do they have any desire to return us to our rightful place in the world.

There’s a reason the GOPe is referred to as the Uniparty.

Sorry, Eric. We’ve ‘played ball’ far too long and we’re too close to the abyss to accept business as usual. Try again tomorrow.

Unfortunately, there is still one hell of a roadblock in place and it’s called the GOP establishment

If we choose to not take on the complacent and complicit GOP now, then when will we? They'll only get more intrenched with every cycle we cave in to them, and then it'll be beyond hope. I say we fight now.

Of course they are going to unload all they have, this guy is not the Washington establishment controlled candidate they would get from the typical candidate.
He also would put a wall up and only have the good people come over who follow proper channels.

I look at it this way anyway.
If it isn’t Cruz or Trump the Republican base will not be motivated and who ever the Democrat is will win. Which honestly is probably the preferred outcome for the Washington elite of both the Republican and Democrat parties.

Whoever is your candidate...
What you need to be doing is finding out who your county GOP chair is, who the establishment activists are, and you need to cordially and politely be warming up to them. Then, you need to be in the meetings, the social events and gatherings helping them all understand why [your candidate] could work for America.

And if they manage to push Jeb through, just wave goodbye.

Newt is still a rock ribbed conservative compared to Trump.

I do realize this is from 8 days ago and hopelessly out of date, but I'd like to point out that he's reading it wrong with this one line alone:

The pro-Trump entities will instead be stuck in a never-ending position of defense, scrambling to convince the casual crowd that Trump isn’t evil and is looking out for their best interests.

Trump is masterful at staying on the offence and not playing defense. The Megyn Kelly dust up? Trump blew it off and appeared on FOUR Sunday political shows. Nothing causes a big controversy to blow over then a gigantic non-apology tour. Trump won't play defense because it's not who he is. It's not the way he's earned billions of dollars.

Donald is like a Rottweiler eying a small dog, in this case the GOPe. First he’ll screw it, then he’ll eat it and finally he will crap it out on the steps of the Capital Rotunda.

Poorly-written, non-persuasive article. I read it, but just as soon wished I hadn’t.

LOL! The Donald will bail out the moment his lead evaporates and he loses a few primaries. And, he will blame everyone except himself and complain that it was all rigged.

And what was not covered was the way that the establishment on both sides of the aisle and the media (didn’t forget them did ya?) will work to defeat Trump.

Trump isn't Gingrich.

Newt's heart wasn't in it from the get-go and he didn't have the money.

They're just beginning to p!ss Trump off and he's a fighter. On top of that, every blow against Trump is a smack in the face of his supporters...and are also p!ssed.

there is one problem that you are not looking at. the internet has changed the rules when it comes to party control of the election... before the debate ever started word had gotten out over the internet about how the republican establishment was going to stick it to Donald trump. the fact that those that control the party don’t understand that for a dirty trick to work you have to control the narrative before and after the dirty trick because of the internet and because people cant help but talk about what ever role they play in what’s going on most of the play book does not work anymore when it comes to controlling a political campaign. the establishment is in for a rude awakening of the type that happendb when television changed the political landscapeb in the 50s and 60s.
