At my office the various women fought over the temperature so much management had to put little locked plastic boxes over the thermostats so they wouldn't monkey with them. Now, even in the summer, the "cold" women run space heaters at their desks (yes, while the A/C is on).

If your office has mostly younger women, then this wouldn’t apply. But if your office has mostly older women, menopausal women, then you would need it colder. Women in that age group suffer with hot flashes and in my office you couldn’t keep it cold enough for them.

This gets so old.. last I checked men were relegated to wearing an office uniform aka The Suit. Women on the other hand show up in whatever they like, summer sleeveless shift dresses are better suited to garden parties.. no wonder no one takes them seriously.

Men have to show up covered in layers from head to toe.
Ladies... wear a blazer.

When I watch a news round table, and the male anchors all look professional exuding gravitas....
while the women seem to be aching for a vogue spread...

Air Conditioning is arguably one of Man-Kinds Greats Achievements!

Amen, brother! I grew up in the Chicago area and summers are hot and HUMID. I do not do well in hot weather, just a personal quirk, I guess; but, anything above the mid to upper 70's just makes me wilt. My wonderful hubby got air conditioning when we updated out heating system some years ago (we just updated again); and, I have been very happy ever since.

Unlike these harridans, I prefer it cooler to warmer. Also, sometimes the humidity is what does me in, so the air conditioning takes care of that as well. I live in the Puget Sound area now (Seattle), and I actually love the weather here most of the time. The rain doesn't bother me (in fact, we are having a bit of a drought here and the people in this area will actually miss rain if they don't have it for a while). And big snow storms are a rarity.

I think it’s a sign of how completely the Pope is a tool of the Left that his encyclical contains a rant against air conditioning. Now other lefties are trotting out their attacks on a/c.

I knew a secretary who always complained that her office was too cold, and no amount of tinkering with the thermostat would fix things. Building maintenance could find nothing wrong with the a/c system. Then one day she realized that the confidential printer was sitting on a table right under the thermostat and the heat from the printer was triggering the air conditioner.
