Thanks. You are welcome.
My wife was pretty peeved about that when she drove through AL last fall. What really set her off was that she got all the way to the bathroom before they had a “no guns” sign. If they had the sign in the parking area she could have removed her gun before leaving the car (which she didn’t like doing, places like rest stops for a woman alone is a good reason why she carries).
Anyhow, she said too bad, I gotta pee and I’m not walking all the way back to the car now.
When I showed her this, she got angry all over again about it. (chuckle)
Which way did she get angry about it?
Because they are taking the signs down after the trip?
or Because they were up illegally to start with?
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to be confusing.
She was mad about the signs and she was doubly mad that the signs were placed so far away that she got to the bathroom with a bursting bladder and was expected to walk back to the care to leave her gun. Which she did not do, BTW.
You were not confusing about that. I thought what you wrote was clear.
What I was asking about was:
“When I showed her this, she got angry all over again about it. (chuckle)”
Your articles are always informative, and now with the added knowledge that they twist humblegunner’s panties in a knot I’ll look forward to them even more.
Thank you for the kind words.
she got all angry again about the stupidity of the sign, and the double stupidity of its placement
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
I have learned to expect a significant amount of stupidity from bureaucracies.
Traveled through Alabama and other States a month or so ago and noticed the signs but didn’t bother returning to the car to divest myself of my protection because it didn’t make sense. Besides, most of the “protection” they supply don’t seem up to the job if SHTF.
