To: E. Pluribus Unum
The Engineering & Science Hall of Fame (I'm a trustee) inducted Tesla in 2011, primarily for his invention of alternating current.

With all due respect to Tesla, he DID NOT invent the laser.

I thought the laser was invented by someone else.

I do believe Tesla worked on or at least theorized some sort of destructive energy or particle beam.
