I think most of our slaves came from the Caribbean and Brazil. IOW we bought people who were already slaves.
obama sang “Amazing Grace” at a funeral.
He did do without knowing the history of the song, the meaning of the words of the song or the real reasons of the murders.
He just knew he could politicize the event.
He doesn’t care about solving problems. Only keeping power.
Dignity don’t pay no bills.
Well, the article points out many truths - did the media go after and destroy this person yet?
BINGO !
Slaves scraped and scrimped and worked their butts off for whatever meager personal possessions they were able to buy and keep. They have their own human dignity than can never e taken away by ANYONE.
Welfare Slaves on the other hand have their basics given to them by the state and they don’t have to work for the basics so their personal human pride is virtually non-existent.
The quickest way to destroy human dignity is to destroy one’s purpose in life by not demanding anything from a person.
They went into LBJ’s Great Society with a job, some dignity and their family intact. They came out of it with a food stamp card and a Democrat ballot in their hand. Now they are slaves on the Democrat plantation.
I fully expect Booker T. Washington to be labeled an “Uncle Tom” if his quotes continue to be used by Conservatives.
I notice during ‘Black History Whatever”, they never mention Booker T. Washington.
I was looking at pictures of the young ladies who were attending Spelman College back in the 1950s and 60s. They were all slender, pretty, and dignified in their white dresses.

But the same could be said for young women of other races.
Their grandmothers would be mortified.

Many blacks today have no dignity. If they did they would not be eating from the government trough. They are really the slaves of today. And the sad part, they call those who have rid themselves from this bondage, ‘uncle toms’. Crazy world and crazy times.
I think the title should read, “Slaves were more dignified than US blacks today”. Not that they “had more dignity”.
