Tom Steyer and his PAC, NextGen Climate, have the right idea. In 2014, they targeted key Republican climate change deniers and went after them with sharp-elbowed ads. They homed in on how climate science denial reflects the GOP’s deliberate ignorance. And they ran ads showing how corporatist Republicans like Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker were favoring the Koch brothers over average citizens. The most memorable of all of these was the one that showed the 97 out of 100 white-coated scientists who accept climate science staring skeptically at a trio of simple-minded cavemen stoners who protest that “I’m not a scientist” and “We like it hot.”

Scott Walker Is the Worst Candidate for the Environment

"........"He really has gone after every single piece of environmental protection: Land, air, water—he's left no stone unturned," said Kerry Schumann, executive director of the Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters. "It's hard to imagine anyone has done worse."

Here's a rundown of Walker's inglorious history of anti-environmentalism......."

"........Climate change presents a great opportunity to copy that game plan in reverse. What are the negative stereotypes that younger, more educated, urban, and non-white voters hold about Republicans? That they are ignoramuses who reject science, that they are selfish, greedy, or in the pocket of big business, and that they are old and out of touch. Climate change lends itself to attacks that play on all of these themes......"

Just have them pass a law that prohibits Earth from changing its climate. That aught to do nicely.

The mafia, gangs, mob, Cosa Nostra, - organized crime like Yakuza, Solntsevskaya Bratva, Camorra, ‘Ndrangheta, and Sinaloa Cartel and a dozen other criminal organizations use this same tactic - beat, threaten, coerce and harm the person(s) from whom they want something until they give it to them.

What's different here with Global Cooling, Warming Climate Change Thugs?

"Lysenkoism is used metaphorically to describe the manipulation or distortion of the scientific process as a way to reach a predetermined conclusion as dictated by an ideological bias, often related to social or political objectives....

....Support from Joseph Stalin gave Lysenko even more momentum and popularity. In 1935, Lysenko compared his opponents in biology to the peasants who still resisted the Soviet government's collectivization strategy, saying that by opposing his theories the traditional geneticists were setting themselves against Marxism. Stalin was in the audience when this speech was made, and he was the first one to stand and applaud, calling out "Bravo, Comrade Lysenko. Bravo." This event emboldened Lysenko and gave him and his ally Prezent free rein to slander the geneticists who still spoke out against him. Many of Lysenkoism's opponents, such as his former mentor Nikolai Ivanovich Vavilov, were imprisoned or even executed because of Lysenko's and Prezent's denunciations...."

Sorry but redistribution of wealth is not fighting climate change.

Yes, you’ve sent this to me before I believe. However, I don’t think it is appropriate here because this tactic described in the article isn’t one of any “scientific basis” at all. It is just threats, intimidation, lying and browbeating.

They’ve resigned themselves to the fact that their ‘fake science’ isn’t working and now they are moving on to other ground and tactics it seems.

It’s a “problem” pushed for political reasons. Note the second part of that quoted material

“You will bend a knee to our god, Gaia, or be thrown into the bronze furnace.” I thought this sounded familiar.

All oppressive ideologies eventually get around to threats, intimidation and, later, much worse. With this tactic, the science part has been thrown out with the other discarded tactics in favor of the old standby - gateway tactics that precede violence.

To take just one stark example, look at the U.N. Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities, a treaty negotiated and first signed under former President George W. Bush. Since signed by virtually every other major country in the world, and signed again by Obama in 2009, it would basically just commit the U.S. to abiding by the same standards already in place under the Americans with Disabilities Act,

Well if that is all it would do - be redundant- then what would be the purpose in ratifying it?

So does Saul Alinsky.

This article is replete with lies which is fully in keeping with the instructions of Saul Alinsky and it recommends personalizing and targeting the opponent all the while continuing with lies.

If you do not believe in the legitimacy of the system and both Saul Alinsky and his acolyte Barack Obama do not, lying, demagoguery, character assassination are all not only legitimate tools in the war they are fighting but it is immoral not to resort to these tactics.

Climate change is not the issue because the issue is never the issue.

“global warming” is just a leftist scheme to lead to global governance.

The "most memorable" being the most laughable.

Lazy liberal definition of a scientist = a person who wears a white coat.

The ‘issue’ is always just the tactic du jour. The goal is destruction of the status quo to attain that power they crave - always.

“Denying climate change is so out-of-step with the electorate...”

Bull crap. Polls have shown that so called “climate change” is so far down the list of concerns of the voters as to hardly even register in the minds of the electorate.

Ben Adler, whoever this worthless loser is, and Tom Steyer are fascist liars.

Here is my answer: Environmentalists and Democrats should beat climate science deniers over the head with aggressive attacks until they realize it is in their interest to back climate action.

Or in other words, use Alinsky tactics.

So force the earths climate to NOT change (which it’s been doing since the beginning of time) through taxes, hefty fines, and ridicule. Yeah, that should work.

Like universal healthcare, it's key to their mission to grab control of people's lives. The idiot far left, many of whom hung around some college campus most of their lives, actually think they would do a better job of running businesses and manufacturing. Global communism is what they seek.
