An entire nation and its 'rule of law' implodes under 0dumbo because whitey is afraid of being called 'racist' if they impeach him. Damn silly but true.
To: VerySadAmerican
Well, he retired in 1993 so there was not much he could do about Obama while he was in uniform.

A disgusting lack of leadership exists...are all potential leaders compromised? America needs “transformed” into a nation with a Constitution and the Rule of Law.

It’s warning from our military to the usurper and traitor. The Ret. General is simply the messenger.

I know exactly where I stand, and what I, my S-I-L, and neighbor will do.
They can have my guns. Bullets first.
They better send lots of people also!

Not having risen above SP5 during my stellar military career I have no first hand knowledge on this issue but I could swear that I've read that when an officer *retires* (rather than resigns his commission) he's subject to being called back to active service on the orders of the President and his designees. If true what, apart from potential embarrassment.prevents Obola from call him General back to active duty and seeing him court-martialed?

As per your post, Rome went imperial in fits and starts.
America did much the same, but did it almost overnight in 1913.

“to conquer use Jesus not bombs”. Such words might be balm for a pacifist but such does not fit the real world of despicable, tyrannical people. I served in WWII overseas and my only brother was killed on Okinawa so I am probably prejudiced against such foolish expressions. Even Jesus recognized the authority of national arms. I would take that you admire the Generals that adhere to Obama’s ideas for ‘change’ to/for the US.

Nobody cares what an old guy who retired over 20 years ago thinks, especially one with a history of being politically incorrect.
Why aren’t current military leaders standing up for America instead of their pensions?

Since he's receiving military pay (retirement pay), he's subject to Article 88.28 of the UCMJ. Here's a discussion of this:
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/06/24/878961/-Contemptuous-Speech-Against-the-President-A-Review-by-LtCol-Davidson
here's the money quote:
a significant body of individuals that are not beyond the reach of this provision is retirees, however. Article 2(a)(4) provides that the military has UCMJ jurisdiction over [r]etired members of a regular component who are entitled to pay. This essentially stifles many a retired General from contemptous speech. However, only a single incident of court-martial of a retiree exists.

Are truthful comments on policy, in the course of a political discussion, personally contemptuous? Good luck proving that.
I don't think proving it would be a problem. A statement like "The problem is Obama has no heart. He is a loser. I think hes a coward..." is contemptuous on its face. It is not a comment on specifics of policy, it is plainly a contemptuous statement about the character of the man himself. I would be very surprised if MG Vallely wouldn't readily admit that his purpose was to express contempt.

A MAN has spoken. I’ve been wondering where the active duty Generals courage has gone. Our AF, A-10 personnel, cannot fire on a marching line of ISIS, they have in their gun sights; without calling into headquarters for permission to fire. This order came from the whitehouse and the Joint Chiefs of Staff obeyed like girly boys. Not like the men who sat in those seats during my tour.
