Americans used to understand that you got the reward for taking the risks. Not by getting the "little people" to take them for you [in return for which, they get nothing.] There's no real difference between Elon Musk and the Banksters [or GM ownership and the UAW] who put billions at risk, knowing someone else would bail them out. Musk is simply being paid up front.
Elon Musk isn’t risking his own money.
...
Really? I read that he just about went broke a few years ago putting his money into SpaceX and Tesla. I know for a fact that he bought Tesla stock when they had secondary offerings.
LMAO...”just about”...Yup...i remember him living under the bridge with me...I just hope he remembers me when I'm down and out like he was...
Sutton’s rule.
Right.
Because a dirt-poor kid from Scotland could never rise through the ranks of entry-level and sales jobs to pretty much single-handedly create the United States Steel industry.
Eye Roll.
Times change...
Why not just stop launching? Nothing is coming to us from the ISS.
LMAO...just about...Yup...i remember him living under the bridge with me...

Hey smart butt, he didn’t go broke.
My point to the person I was replying was he put up a lot of his own money for his companies back when they were struggling.
Musk believes in making better products for less money, and that the future should be better than the past. That reminds me of how Reagan used to say that our best days are ahead of us.
I’ve said all along that the ISS is a make work project.
But there are a lot more things to launch than missions to the ISS. If we are going to continue with the ISS, it’s good to use a company like SpaceX that will do it for a lot less money than the Shuttle.
People don’t.
