It’s definitely one of the worst newspapers in the Commonwealth, if not the country.
I grew up in Virginia Beach when the Virginian Pilot was the morning edition and the Ledger Star was the evening paper. My parents always subscribed to the Ledger Star, and when the publisher stopped printing the evening paper I think they cancelled rather than accept a transfer to the Virginian Pilot. It was bad then and it’s much worse now.
Oh where, oh where is Willie Green, FR’s most vocal mass transit (rail) fan.
I’d enjoy seeing him try to dig rail out of this one.
I love trains. But passenger rail, except in a very few very limited markets, always loses money.
