Popeye's Chicken vs. Rick Perry 2016As you may already know (or predicted long ago), Rick Perry is running for President, again. Rebranded with hipster glasses and a campaign logo that might make Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen cry plagiarism, Perry is hoping to correct the mistakes of his failed 2012 campaign. Separating himself from the current field of Senators, Perrys announcement speech emphasized the need for governor that has led, rather than those who have given a speech on the Senate floor. His campaign website touts the Texas economy under his leadership, claiming he he championed conservative principles that helped Texas become Americas economic engine. So, is Rick Perry the conservative champion sought by Americans? Does his rhetoric match the record?

For example, for years one of Perry's biggest donors was no relation Perry of Perry Homes. Homebuilders and illegal labor go together like cinnamon and coffee cakes.
Perry is a crony capitalist. While being in bed with business is better for the population than being in bed with the unions and community organizers, it is still corruption.
Perry thinks it is “heartless” to enforce laws on fraudulently docmented foreigners.
I think it is dereliction not to.
Really?
Less than a year ago Perry praised Hillary by saying she was a Great Secretary of State. A real conservative would never have done that.
Nor would a real conservative have worked to keep Ted Cruz from going to Washington.
No real conservative would have opposed a border fence.
No real conservative would have tried to impose a nanny-state executive order to force females to have injections of unwanted, unnecessary and unproven vaccination.
A real conservative would not have endorsed the man who has waged war on the TEA Party. RINO Mitch McConnell, for reelection.
A real conservative would not have given taxpayer-subsidized financial aid and instate tuition to ILLEGAL aliens.
A real conservative would not have characterized as heartless the conservative voting base who opposed such handouts for ILLEGAL aliens.
Rick Perry is far from conservative. But you're free to call him whatever you would like.
La Raza Rick: Fake Republican.
Unbelievable, someone still believes Rick Perry is a conservative.
bump
Some people believe in the tooth fairy, unicorns and leprechauns, too.
Perrys campaign website says he championed conservative principles that helped Texas become Americas economic engine.
Then-Gov Perry sucks up to Muslims---signs Muslim agreement.
Then Gov-Perry receives a serape from Mexican Gov Enrique Martinez as a token of appreciation for the "Texican Dream Act"......a Texas give away program which spends tax dollars on illegal border jumpers..... without the knowledge and consent of tax-paying Texans.
I believe Rick Perry is a werewolf. I saw him drinking a piña colada at Trader Vic’s...his hair was perfect.
We have some people here who still believe Willard is honest. Of course, they also picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.
I agree with business on curbing labor union excesses, right to work etc. etc. but then big business wants Amnesty for illegals, Common Core, Obamacare, no First Amendment freedom for objectors to gay marriage and homosexuality.
Big Business bucks fuel our corporatist system of Uniparty government and we should repudiate it.......
I’m still waiting for a coherent defense of my tagline. To date, not a one.
No surprise there. It would only be rationalizations, of course.
Rick Perry. Because there weren’t enough pro-amnesty corporatist shills already running.
Right on the money you are.
I was really disappointed to see Marcus Latrell and Taya Kyle on the platform with him.
This is the fencing in Eastern San Diego County. Note how relatively mild the territory is as compared to Texas. /s
Rationalizations indeed.
Thanks. All are 100% facts about the man who so many erroneously label a "conservative".
Sarcasm aside, the territory IS much different. A river defines the entire border -- from El Paso to Brownsville.
And, as the Israelis have demonstrated, a river calls for a different solution.
