Sorry to inform you, but it is already here. There is little ‘truth’ in the ‘news’ these days. Bureaucrats decide which stories they want us to hear and then they report them with their own bias incorporated. The ‘truth’ is really difficult to discern these days.

As they used to say in the Soviet Union, "There is no Pravda (truth) in Isvestia (news) and no Isvestia in Pravda." Looks like it's coming here, too.
