EAG News reports that the public school district of St. Paul has spent $3 million over the past 5 years to work with Pacific Educational Group, a San Francisco-based organization that tries to help public schools deal with achievement and disciplinary issues involving black students. PEGs educational philosophy: That standard curricula are inherently biased against black students due to white privilege.
Curriculum changes, however, were not at the top of their list. Instead, St. Paul schools were required to revise discipline policies in order to cease suspending black students, instead punishing them via time outs from the classroom, along with school officials forgiving or ignoring violent behavior.
The result has been general chaos throughout the district, with far too many students out of control because they know there are no real consequences for their actions. As a result of the disciplinary changes, students run wild in the hallways, teachers have secret knocks for students who want admission into classrooms, and the number of students attending non-district schools has ballooned. It is, in short, a nightmare. Most students dont even feel safe going to the bathroom.
The teachers union has partnered with local organizations to push certain school board members out in the upcoming election. However, the heat really needs to be turned up on Pacific Educational Group, the source of the policies that resulted in such turmoil. PEGs client list contains the names of over 100 public school districts across the country, including 22 in Minnesota alone. Theyve also partnered with over a dozen independent and charter schools as well as nearly 50 institutions of higher education including the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, and the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. A number of state departments of education are also included on their client list.
According to a 2006 article in the Rocky Mountain News, PEGs president and founder Glenn Singleton, who charges a six-figure consulting fee, holds radical views on race, claiming that white talk is verbal, intellectual and task-oriented, while color commentary is emotional and personal.
Another example of the results of liberalism, at the expense of the children.
ARTH Ping.
You want “color commentary?”
I’ll give you “color commentary!”
Bkmrk.
What a mindless rush to anarchy... I can’t think of any worse environment for young people.
No one wins in THAT environment...certainly no one will actually LEARN and that’s what school IS ... RIGHT?
So they pay big taxpayer money for "experts" to mess up formerly functional districts? Where could such an idea have originated?
“.........PEGs president and founder Glenn Singleton, who charges a six-figure consulting fee, holds radical views on race, claiming that white talk is verbal, intellectual and task-oriented, while color commentary is emotional and personal.
Basically a complete liberal without a clue running off at the mouth about something he knows nothing of what’s really happening, and collecting from other completely clueless liberals one HELL of a hefty paycheck for all his worthless noise.
Libs can make anything sound reasonable, but IF one applies some thought to their double talk, one can see through them. More people need to be trained to think instead of do as they are told to do. Liberals win in a society of non thinking followers.
Sounds like this Glenn Singleton character is saying "white talk" is civilized and "color commentary" is not far removed from a beast like nature. Quite the racist - this Glenn Singleton.
A course about privilege is a course to teach hatred and envy, two core sins.
Privilege implies unearned advantage. That is a huge burden of proof.
They would do better teaching success stories of individuals who started without privilege. There are millions.
...a protection racket by any other name.
San Francisco based...say no more.
So far they haven’t encroached the district boundaries of the area where my child attends, but they are right next to it.
Lost in all this madness is the children who want to learn, who need to learn, are denied the opportunity. And when they can’t get into college, or a decent college, nobody wants to hear they didn’t learn because the schools they were forced to attend were essentially insane asylums.
IOW, he’s saying that melanin makes you more like an animal. But since he implies that that is a good thing, we’re not supposed to consider him a racist.
Glenn has just made himself a fortune from school district taxpayers.
The three Texas school districts using the racist, anti-White Pacific Education curriculum are Austin ISD, Dallas ISD, and Southwest (San Antonio) ISD.
Students in these Leftist bastions are teaching White children to be ashamed and minorities to be resentful and vindictive. Why are these hate hatcheries funded by White taxpayers? They are buying the rope to hang themselves.
“So far they havent encroached the district boundaries of the area where my child attends, but they are right next to it.”
Same here. We need to keep an eye on what’s going on all the time. Don’t we?
color commentary is emotional and personal.
You can be a drama queen,or a narcissist, if you want, as long as taxpayers do not have to fund it.
