Texas used to be a place I looked up to. Not so much anymore. Where is the brave Senator from Texas who supports the Constitution to stand up for his constituents, probably most of whom voted for him? Where is the Governor?
We expect nothing from Obama's DOJ and the three letter agencies, but this has really put the lie to Texas being a liberty oriented state.

Is it time to call up the militia to go to Texas to rescue these men?

.... and to think there are a number of Freepers who support what the authorities are doing. Beyond belief to me. I hope they sue the hell out of everyone involved and collect.

I’ve never seen or heard of anything like it.

Neither the United States Department of Justice, the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas, the Governor of Texas, the President of the United States nor any of the score of smurfs and fools currently running for President has so far dared to come to the defense of the scores of men and at least two women who remain unjustly imprisoned under cruel and unusual circumstances in the McLennan County Jail.
This. Add to this list the MSM which is also silent on why the 8th Amendment is being denied to nearly 200 individuals in Waco.

There are a lot of pro-authoritarian comments supporting the killing and mass arrests of the bikers(see
TexasGator's comments) but it appears to be a limited number of individuals or
conspirators making the comments.

To this day I still have no idea of what happened there. Does anybody really know what happened? Or why?

Seventy-five of the alleged murders have requested a public defender. There are only 29 lawyers in McLennan County qualified for the job. The County has 26 prosecutors. Is there any reason they can not get a lawyer from out of the county?

Sounds like you used to incorrectly think Texas was a place you could get away with acting like a bunch of infantile bullies, just because you rode a Harley.
Sounds like your claims are coming from your rearend, because your mouth knows better.

Nope. Now they are burying the dead, but still no autopsy reports have been released.
I remember the last LEO massacre in Waco, the Feds used bulldozers to smash and bury the evidence there too. As I recall they raised the BATF flag over the compound after they had burnt the 80 people inside alive. Many of them children.
No one was ever held accountable for that, and in fact many of the survivors were prosecuted and jailed on various charges.

Good afternoon.
This mess is going to end up in the lap of the Texas AG.
I doubt the DOJ will be interested because...

No, I thought Texas was a place that honored the Constitution and Bill of Rights, including freedom of assembly, freedom of association, and freedom of speech, the rights of the accused to bail, and a legal system that prosecuted actual crimes.
This case has shown that those assumptions are, at least in Waco incorrect.
You don't know anything about me. Go spurt on some other thread, moron.

No, they are just whining.
Any attorney in the state of Texas cab work in Waco as Waco does not have its own bar exam.

Thank you for pointing out the astonishing number of pro-authoritarian posts on this subject. I come to Free Republic to get away from pro-authoritarian/statist nonsense.

But there is no right to go gangsta and start shooting in a busy shopping center at high noon.
