A protester is taken into custody by a Cleveland police officer in a clash during demonstrations that followed the acquittal of police officer Michael Brelo. Brelo was charged with manslaughter in the November 2012 shooting deaths of two unarmed people.
CLEVELAND, Ohio Cleveland police officers took at least three people into custody during protests following the Michael Brelo verdict.
Northeast Ohio Media Group reporters and photographers witnessed at least three people taken into custody following a clash with police about 6:20 p.m. outside Quicken Loans Arena.
Police officers showed pepper spray cans to others who rushed towards the fight.
Most protestors quickly dispersed and marched down Huron Avenue towards Progressive Field, where the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds just ended their game.
Cleveland police confirmed one arrest. They said a man threw an object through a window, injuring a woman at a bar. It's unclear if that's what caused the fight between police and protestors.
Officers followed the group in three lines: a line of mounted police officers, another with batons out and bulletproof vests and a third with riot gear.
At first glance, I thought it was a guy. But I think you’re right.
Life in the sh!thole of Cleveland!
We have a game tomorrow at the Arena. Clear the scum outta there! Go CAVS!
Cleveland ain’t Baltimore.. yet.
even though I was just a child I have a feeling that this is what it was like during the late sixties and early seventies. spoiled white kids with nothing better to do.
CNN is doing its’ best to turn Cleveland in another Baltimore!
Exactly! Trust fund brats.
my nephew has friends like those. They understand the black mans pain but barely know any or lived in their neighborhoods.
The only difference was they weren’t the Astro-turf Soros rent-a-mob they are now.
This idiot was there this morning and pushing her/his chest against the line of police preventing people from going into the Justice Center. On television, it looked like a male, but here it looks female. ???
it’s funny. I was a supervisor in a graphics department at an investment bank a number of years ago. I was the conservative out of all of the managers. They were liberal. But one of them told me some of the black workers scared them. Another told me the Asians couldn’t be trusted. And another mentionef that Puerto Ricans tend to steal. there’s your liberalism in action. my approach was silly I guess. I treated everybody the same and was widely respected for it. One of them even made a video game of me beating up the investment bankers lol
It really was different. Now it’s just people wanting to stir up things for NO reason. MLK and the folks with him had a higher purpose.
I`ll not go there unless I absolutely have to. About the only thing that`d take me there is the main campus of the Cleveland Clinic, but unless I`m deathly ill, there are plenty of other satellite hospitals to go to.
you are right about that. Mlk might not have been a great man but he would be devastated at what he saw it today. He had a great message: to just be treated equally. If Charlton Heston marched in it it must have been a good cause. nowadays I just don’t know what they want from us
Spoken like a true suburbanite.
Cleveland has handled this situation extremely well. I assure you the people arrested were most likely outside agitators of the Obama Community Organizer Soros backed idiot variety.
I live a few blocks from Impett Park and there was a protest today with a group of people who peacefully walked from the park to the county prosecutors home. Who, by the way is one of my neighbors. The police had everything under control and there was not one incident.
The police in Cleveland and the local city and county authorities have been exceptional in their handling of this situation. They have been fair and firm. They have let it be known that no misbehavior by the protesters would be tolerated. The incident was under control within seconds and the perps where roughed and cuffed and order was restored.
looks like a bull dagger to me....
DEFINITELY not Home Turf Inner City Stock!!
they’ve had these t shirts ready since .... wednesday??
I understand most of the renta-mob won’t be there until tomorrow.
