I agree, but that is a very difficult argument to win. courts are loathe to question the sincerity of a claimed religious belief

While one might be able to argue that Wicca is old, Satanism is a different thing, and it was basically invented about 50 years ago as a social statement. It's a stretch for anyone to call it a religion in any sense.

It's a childish protest against Christianity. Nothing more than that.
