Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake made all the right noises Monday night as she discussed her city’s response to the unrest enveloping it after the unexplained death while in police custody of Freddie Gray, but she lost more than a few critics willing to give her the benefit of the doubt when she said that “anyone who wants to add to the calls for peace in our city is welcome” – including Al Sharpton.

Modern liberals know better though-
their conclusion is that young black men just need jobs.
(No idea where these “jobs” come from, of course, but probably the gov’t should provide them.)
Emphasis should be on “families”. Joined together for the purpose of nurturing and giving early education in manners and morals.
Not on “tribes” or “posses” or “boyz in da ‘hood”, who are essentially gang members and thugs without a connection to the wider community in which they live. Unlearned in the nuances of work ethic or responsibility, these are feral creatures, not much higher than a roving horde of mongrel strays that happened to band together.
No offer of a “job” is going to lure them or hold them. They already have a “job” in the hierarchy of the street.
Retirement benefits aren’t so great, but hey, the potential for promotion is unparalleled anywhere except for within an ISIS irregular army unit.
Black CIVILIZATION matters. If you insist on being feral, you don’t matter as much. We have to be able to live TOGETHER and that takes civilization and kindness.
Nothing will change until black men honor the biblical concept of family.
