Speaking of Texas, we're really getting a sad picture of right-wing paranoid extremism.
A planned military exercise called Jade Helm 15 is seen as a cover for an Obama administration operation to take over the state.
And if you're a Republican Texas politician like Gov. Greg Abbott or Sen. Ted Cruz, you have to act as if these are legitimate concerns.
Not that he distrusts the military exactly, Cruz said, but "we have seen, for six years, a federal government disrespecting the liberty of the citizens. That produces fear, when you see a government that is attacking our free speech rights, or Second Amendment rights, or religious liberty rights. That produces distrust."
So, one supposes, it's only natural to believe Texas is going to be invaded by the United States. Or by the Islamic State. Or Wal-Mart. Or whoever else is part of the conspiracy.
Crazy? Sure. But the governor takes it seriously enough to order the Texas State Guard to keep an eye on the U.S. military. Just in case.
Just remember. It's Obama's fault.
I have seen large convoys on I40 moving nuclear weapons a couple decades ago. With Jade Helm lots of people are wondering just what they are up to. Some stuff is just normal line the nuke convoys and some stuff makes yo wonder what is going on. I do not trust them. About every week yo hear about someone in command being forced out of the military. I think it is over 300 now.
It is a matter of trust which has been violated by Waco, ruby ridge, Murra building...
