Just a plain and simple vanity. I have finally completed my first science fiction series. The third book of my Bright Horizons series is out and I am both incredibly relieved and a little wistful at the same time.
It's been almost three years since I lost my job and decided to put out my first book to try to make ends meet. I have struggled with health issues, had to put the writing on hold to take a seasonal job as I refilled the cash tank, and had the other typical issues of life come up, but I just launched my seventh novel, and final novel of the series my first book started, last week.
It's been a wonderful launch and I look forward to putting out my next book, which will be a sequel to the very well received story EMP. Just wanted to share a little bit of my joy with the great folks here.

Mosar was my seventh novel. I hope to have one hundred out before I semi-retire.

I think everyone has stories in them to tell. I encourage everyone to write and try to find their audience.

Yeah, a humble “contributor” should be by any moment to complain that ASB didn’t post the full text of his book...

Can you make any money vanity publishing? I worked for an editor who said the whole thing was a giant mega-scam. I pointed out one or 2 authors who got their start that way, and he retorted that there are almost 2 million living vanity “authors” running around. Curious to get your take.

I've been doing a lot of reading since I got an iPad and installed the Kindle app. I can easily read 3 books a week if I'm traveling on business.
I read a lot in the "space opera" genre, and have an idea for a concept I haven't yet seen elsewhere. I'm considering writing a book, once I retire.
