Yup...
Much of the North-Northwest parts are the scene of turf war battles between Hispanic and Black gangs now. And it seems the blacks are getting the worst of it.
46208 is the “Near North” and Butler-Tarkington areas, north of 21st St., west of Meridian, east of the White River.
What?
No Philadelphia?
Camden, NJ
Oakland, CA
The list should/could have been the top 100 with very little difference.
>> What do these dangerous hoods all have in common <<
Well, the top five are in states that border Lake Michigan. Something in the water?
But as for the others, the only factor I can think of is that they all are victims of oppression and discrimination by the white-male-dominated, ruthlessly exploitative and imperialistic capitalist system.
“They are food deserts per Michelle Obama criteria”
I think you hit among the commonality amongst these areas: a paucity of readily available of arugula. I’m sure if you did a study there would be nearly a 100% correlation. And the scientific conclusion you could draw from this? Arugula prevents crime.
Coming to a town near you.
Too dangerous to get a current photo.
Which government housing project is NOT in the top dangerous neighborhoods?
They already do: Every time a big housing project in the inner-city closes, the residents are given §8 vouchers, to live in middle-class neighbourhoods...and the criminal element indubitably disperses throughout those neighbourhoods...
Any of these cities run by Republicans????????????????!
The Missouri Ozarks are looking better and better...
From the looks of it, West Memphis and Tulsa have a bizarre amount in common.
I looked then at most of the maps of those particular neighborhoods.
What was shameful to the legacy of Martin Luther King is that about half ... or over half of THOSE particular neighborhoods of that article posted THEN had either in close proximity or fairly close proximity either a park or a boulevard named after Martin Luther King.
Where are the reformers who would seek to elevate his name vs. having neighborhoods yield crimeridden shame to his name?
ahhh, yes, Flint. That neighborhood made up of dilapidated crack houses adjoining a three-block area of nothing but nudie bars. The neighborhood over by Pierson Road and MLK is no picnic either.
They have all been under Rat control for decades. And they are primarily black.
As a Hoosier, there are places in Indiana I have never been and will never go. There are many places on the north-east side that are dangerous. Downtown Indianapolis is pretty safe. Some of the most beautiful homes in the state are downtown on Old Meridian, but their backyards are practically in the ghetto now. When I was growing up I lived on the west side of Indianapolis. Its unrecognizable now. East side trash just keeps moving west. Makes me want to build a wall before Plainfield is ruined.
According to “The Bell Curve,” 1994 Herrnstein and Murray.
The underlying causal factor, for all the associated problems: Low IQ. (I realize with a Thomas Sowell here, a Ben Carson there, it is hard to accept this explanation. But they simply come from the extreme of the curve.)
In my mind low IQ at the very least, a major contributing factor. And it may explain almost everything, like the hypothesis of this book.
BTW the books findings wre highly controversial, as might be expected. But a polling was performed of experts in the field, and a majority validated the findings.
I will note there are physical differences between major human races, so why not mental differences as well?
Thanks for posting. Very interesting. #13 - Island View Detroit - (I’d never heard of it before) here .
Be prepared.
One precinct in Indy had 100+% registered voters participate. After finding a few lost ballot boxes. Somewhere I’ve kept the articles Good news is it spurred the state to reform the voter ID laws
