Who ARE these strange Weeble people,
and why are they here?
Nikki Giovanni, Michelle Obama, Megan J. Brennan, Oprah Winfrey and Ross Rossin stand on stage during the Maya Angelou Forever Stamp Dedication at Warner Theatre on April 7, 2015 in Washington, DC.
Of course it has now been revealed that the quote attributed to Maya wasnt actually hers:
Her stamp features the phrase, A bird doesnt sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song, which the USPS attributed to Angelouthough the direct quote may actually be from a different author.
Normally that would be embarrassing, butt hey - its Washington! What do you expect, real quotes?
In fact I understand there is going to be a whole series of Maya stamps; all of which will contain things she didnt say:
The last time Lady M saw Maya Angelou before her death was in 2012 when she presented her with a BET lifetime literary achievement award:
Thats a gorgeous gown! It deserves a full 360 degree view:
So weve got that going for us.

Those are self-styled cultural leaders. I’m not following.
I see a bow-legged wookie and a giant eggplant.
Who thinks up this drivel? Leftard happy horse$#it!
Progressives...Turning American minds to mush since the 19th Century...
Wow Blowprah must be prepping to pimp another new weight loss regimen.
The guy on the right just realized he’s down wind of that ginormous purple thang.
And NO we did not need a 360 of the dress, butt thanks for thinking of us. :)
These “Weebles” remind me of the Wide Ends skit on SNL...
The lady on the left is Nikki Giovanni. She kicked a guy out of her class and recommended he be kicked out of school. The Dean ignored her. He went on to kill 32 people at the school.
Just how many yards of material did it take to wrap around that fat behind?
i have altered the photo to bring out its most salient silliness
Those words may recall the title of Angelou's 1969 autobiography I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, but they were actually written by Joan Walsh Anglund, 89, in the 1967 book A Cup of Sun, according to the Washington Post.
"Had we known about this issue beforehand, we would have used one of [Angelou's] many other works ... the sentence held great meaning for her, and she is publicly identified with its popularity," Postal Service spokesperson Mark Saunders said in a statement reported by the Post.
Fake, but accurate. Dan Rather and Brian Williams would be proud!
I saw that...LOL.
Those are Fisher-Price Little People.
The old ones, that were the perfect diameter for
plugging a 3 year old’s windpipe.
