One reason you might have a problem with it is that is not what the Bible says. It says LOVE of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10).

I do appreciate that clarification, but it’s not though.

It’s certainly the motivation for some evil, but not all.

I just don’t believe that goes far enough. Man is clearly the root of evil in this world, as well as the root of good.

There are many varying motivations for the actions man chooses to take, but man is the root. His presence here brings both good and evil.

A deeper understanding of that scripture is that the love of money is A root of all kinds of evil; at least according to the New King James Version, anyway.
