McDonalds announced that over 90,000 employees will receive a pay raise effective July 1, 2015. After recent employee protests and slow sales, McDonalds appears to be raising salaries to solve employee relation problems and improve its image with consumers.
After that 300,000,000 Americans will get a raise in costs eating out.
McDonald’s has a right to give them a raise, and we have the right to discontinue eating there after they are forced to raise their prices to account for it.
What they pay the help is not the reason I have have a bad impression of McD. It’s the crap sandwiches they now serve.
Yes, it will cost more, but the workers will be more careful making sure your order is right, they will be polite and courteous, they will smile more. The entire experience will be upgraded. Better pay equals better service. Sarcasm OFF.
I miss the apple turnovers.. And fries.
Future workers will have a college degree!
Fast food needs to be expensive. It’s horrible that you can feed your family cheaper at McDonalds then from Groceries.
That’s liberal thinking. But eating from proper grocery shopping is way cheaper for a family. It just takes a functional family to realize it, and those are hard to come by these days.
Pay them more and lets watch another American Brand go down and out.
Them ants are gettin' a workout, today.
I miss the apple turnovers.. And fries.
I miss malts. Haven’t been back
McDonalds does not understand the first thing about staying on top of the market.
Cook everything in animal fat and make that burger greasier than hell. It’s when you left that model which killed you.
Yeah, I remember the original fries, ie. ‘60s. The one thing they did right.
I remember driving about 30 miles from S. Miami to NE Miami to go to the first McD in the area.
After having a hamburger I said ‘Waaa, this is a hamburger??’. “Milk shake? Your kidding!” Never ordered another milk shake , ever.
Fries, yes.
I hear there’s a lot of them that aren’t satisfied. Who can afford a new ‘Vette and a $500K house on min wage damn it.
Not exactly, this only applies at company stores which are approx 10% of US locations. 90% are franchised locations.
Used to be 8 hamburgers for a dollar. It did not take a fortune to wash them down either.
and down the tubes goes McD’s
Wow when they first came to the midwest, burgers were 15 cents.
that was way back before the government started ....pumping .....more dollars” into “the economy” thereby ....inflating....prices and cheapening the dollar
Sadly, with almost every driveIn these days.. Fries are a hit or less proposition.. At least locally. Tho I don’t eat much of them lately.. But still its a crap shoot. IMHO.
miss=less
