Picture: Teacher Receives Stunningly Disgusting Michelle Obama Lunch

A middle school teacher in Louisiana received one of the most disgusting-looking lunches imaginable and posted a picture of it online yesterday.

The post, titled "I'm a teacher. My school cafeteria served this today," said that the meal below was supposed to be "ham:"

Ham

Unsurprisingly, the teacher decided not to eat her "meal" and threw the meat away after taking the picture.

She also plans on sending the picture to her school's food director "who is supposed to be enforcing federal regulations."

Michelle 0bama: “If we just had more money for the school lunch programs, the food would look more appetizing.”

Exactly. But I’m VERY pleased the teachers are being served that crap, too. But don’t look for it on CH8 News...

It’s not meat, but it tastes strangely familiar.

I used to love Ham and Eggs, while just about everyone else in my Vietnam unit hated them so much that I had all I could eat.

I graduated from HS in 1972. Back then, whenever they had pizza for lunch I’d say it wasn’t a cheese pizza and it wasn’t a peperoni pizza. It was a salt pizza. That’s what it tasted like to me.

So what’s the problem? This is the kind of food the kids at Sidwell Friends School eat every day.

Many older Freepers like myself, have a hard time believing what is served to school children in cafeterias. Things are not like they were when we were kids.

For the most part, we had kind older ladies who knew how to cook, because they had raised large broods themselves. They actually cooked. Rolls were made fresh daily. Vegetables were fresh; if you had peas for lunch, the lunch ladies were shelling them in the morning. Our little desserts were cookies that they made themselves. We were always welcome to seconds on vegetables.

Nowadays with the cost and dietary restrictions and regulations, cafeteria ladies don't cook any more. Everything comes pre-packaged; it's a heat and serve world. Well, sometimes it's heated. My old school wouldn't even heat up the beans that accompanied the so-called hot dogs. The kids were served those cold... we're talking open a can and poor it into one of those serving pans, and stick a spoon in it for the kids to dip.

The quality of the stuff is horrific. When I taught, I brought my own, although in a pinch, I'd get a salad. That was tough for them. They had to pour the pre-made salad into a plastic container, add a few piddly grape tomatoes themselves, and point you to the packages of dressing.

Every parent with a kid in school should visit the school unannounced periodically, and make sure you do it sometimes during lunch so you can see what they feed your kids.

By the way, teachers don't get special meals. They eat whatever the kids eat, unless they bring their own, and most bring their own, I promise.

I recall that the ham slices were good, even at room temperature, though a tad greasey.

I didn’t care for the Ham and Lima Beans, but then I’ve never been a fan of Lima Beans. The jams and jellys were always good. Peanut butter a bit dry for my taste, but my wife would make up peanut butter cookies after I returned from two or three weeks of artillery gunnery at Ft. Knox, and brought back all of the tins of peanut butter.

I think I still have some individual C-ration tins, unopened, in the basement.

We should be celebrating and championing this new lunch/meal program. SO much so, that we need to make it MANDATORY for ALL GOVERNMENT Buildings. Let the Public Servants and public employees eat the same crap they want children to eat. Force them to live by their own rules.

She doesn’t like it because Queen Obama Her Majesty is black. That is the only reason. No other reasons shall be heard.

I suggest diversity sensitivity training and a 6 month suspension for this teacher to DARE to reject Queen Obama Her Majesty’s mandate.
