In a recent video from PoliTech, some students from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX sought to find out how politically challenged our college-aged youths are. Several questions were asked to the students like, “Who won the Civil War, Who is our Vice-President, and Who did we gain our independence from?”

The students should have learned history in high school. But nowadays schools either no longer teach history or they teach commie revisionist history. Either way, this generation knows nothing about history

I remember an American History class in high school in which the teacher, a jock who happened to teach history, was jabbering on about how General Grant proved his ability as a commander when he won the Union day at Gettysburg. I humiliated him by informing him that General Grant was nowhere near Gettysburg when that battle was fought, and that the Union commander was George Meade.
With quality teachers like that in our schools, it's no surprise we're graduating functional illiterates.

I’m betting that it’s made up- the people they speak to are coached what to say- either that or lots of people DID get the right answer, and they only showed gthe few who didn’t

Some (not all) of these High Schools that don’t teach the basics still demand their raises and enhanced benefit plans.
This is ridiculous, sad, disgusting and worst of all dangerous to our future. China and Saudi Arabia view all of this with giggling delight. Their simultaneous conquests of America will go far, far easier than they had thought, even if it must be after His Weakness (aka Obama) leaves office.
The big winners in the Civil War were the bankers. Losses to the North and South were massive. Slaves had great problems also.
