Hillary’s Brilliant Press Conference Performance
Leo McNeil ^ | March 11, 2015 | Leo McNeil

You have to give the Clinton’s credit for knowing how to put on a good show. Hillary’s press conference yesterday was great entertainment. Sure, she’s completely full of it but the optics and the performance were magnificent. Hillary explained her personal email story at the UN of all places. It was picked for two reasons. First, the UN gives Hillary the appearance of being above the fray, focused on world politics rather than the pettiness of emails. Second, in order to get a press pass the media has to request one at least 24 hours in advance. Hillary announced her UN press conference with 18 hours of notice, thus the pool of reporters was limited to those who would ask supportive questions. Her staff was able to hand pick questions, including one from al Jazerra.

Hillary acknowledged having a private email address which she used for official State Department business. She insists that she didn’t receive or send classified information over her email account. Unfortunately because she deleted over 30,000 “private” emails and likely destroyed the hard drive, we’ll never actually know. Hillary prattled on about how she was behaving in an unprecedented manner, releasing 30,000+ official business emails. She brilliantly made herself into the magnanimous victim, which of course is an attempt to obscure the fact that all of the emails she disclosed should have been available to the government in the first place. That’s really the big point here. Had Hillary been using a proper government email address all of the emails she disclosed would have been available to investigators or to those making FOIA requests in the first place. In fact, so to would have those emails that Hillary deleted claiming they’re “personal.”

Bill’s spokesman has previously claimed that the former President has only sent two emails in his life, both publicity stunts when he was President. Hillary claimed yesterday she had email communications with Bill. Someone is lying and frankly it’s impossible to tell who. We wouldn’t be able to obtain these emails via legal means but it sure would be interesting to see if Hillary warned Bill not to go to the kiddie sex slave island or chastised him for doing so. If only she had sent Bill there on official business, then we could have had a look at such an email. Of course, because Hillary wouldn’t have sent them via a government computer she likely would have deleted the email as “personal.” There’s no telling what could be considered personal of course. Presumably anything that might show the Secretary of State in a negative light was considered personal, deleted and will never be seen by Congress or the general public.

Poor Hillary needed her private email account for official business because she didn’t want to carry around two phones because of course phones can’t handle more than one email address. Her argument is ridiculous, especially in light of the fact that she created her personal domain in 2009. In addition during her first year as Secretary of State she continued to use her US Senate account. Somehow in 2009 she managed two email addresses, for some reason one of them couldn’t be an official state department email address. We all know why this is. Hillary wanted to be able to be able to do damage control separately from the White House, who she reasonably assumed would throw her under the bus if they had exclusive control over her communications. By only using a personal email account, with a server located in her New York house no less, Hillary could exclusively control who had access to her communications. Not only could she keep the White House at bay, she could keep Congressional Republicans in the dark as well.

All of this led up to Hillary’s masterful performance yesterday. The brilliant location, the perfect set up with limited press and hand selected questions and poor grandma Hillary playing the victim. It was everything we would expect from a Clinton performance and then some. The problem of course is that Hillary isn’t a victim, she’s the perpetrator of fraud. She’s potentially engaging in illegal activity by doing official business over a private email account. We’re right back in the 90’s again, with Hillary engaging in shady activities and playing the victim. There’s no doubt she’s brilliant at it. The problem is that when we look at Hillary’s life, dating to her involvement with the Nixon impeachment committee in the 70’s (which she was fired from for unethical conduct) through her time as First Lady to today we see nothing but shady deals, unethical conduct and victim blaming. She sets herself up as poor Hillary the victim while she goes on the attack against anyone who questions her or stands in her way. Bimbo eruptions, vast right-wing conspiracies and the like all while poor Hillary is providing unprecedented access to her emails. Her performance was brilliant but at this point most of America isn’t fooled by her performances.

I sat and watch the lead-in to the press conference with CNN. Why? I’m overseas and it’s the only way I could get it.

So, about five to ten minutes before they cut....Blitzer has David Gergen as the guest and tries to weave in the introduction to the ‘good Hillary’ and explain why she did this stupid business.

Gergen explains it correctly....she is advised by lawyers on every single detail of her life. It’s been this way, and they had to advise her to hide her emails.

Then some other CNN geek stepped into the discussion....noting Hillary learned this after the terrible 1990s when the Republicans went out her.

It was a nice time-line explanation and detailed the ‘bad Republicans’ to some degree.

The problem is....I also know the time-line business. Where was Hillary in 1974/75? She worked on the prosecution side, and eventually got fired for ‘bad behavior’. She’s been screwing up for forty years, and no one ever says much over this many stupid mistakes.

CNN? They simply demonstrated to me once again....why they are a failed news group.

CNN's Wolf Blitzer had David Gergen on to explain why she did this stupid business. Gergen explains it correctly....she is advised by lawyers on every single detail of her life. It’s been this way, and they had to advise her to hide her emails.

Nice catch.

ANALYSIS Hillary's UN press conference was carefully orchestrated to save her sorry behind. Reportedly, her staff wrote down all her answers in that binder she kept reading from...... to manipulate observers.

And she had Big Mama leading her in past Picasso's legendary painting, "Guernica" - his polemic against war.

At the end. Hillary looked like a first-grader who can't find the exit---eager to get home to mommy.

Big Mama effectively ended it for her by taking hold of her binder and leading her out.

I knew the UN was chosen for some ulterior reason.

Imagine what it will be like to have her as president for eight years.

Yes, she is soulless because she handed it over to Satan in exchange for her super powers of adroit obfuscation.

In many ways Hillary Clinton is like Valerie Jarrett. Jarrett has screwed up every job she’s ever had and somehow manages to get promoted due to her connections. Hillary also screws up everything she touches and somehow parlays it into victimhood and promotions.

She did idolize Saul Alinsky and his book Rules for Radicals which was dedicated to Satan.

Right. First, she did a STUPID thing. Then, she got caught. THEN, she had completely STUPID explanations for what she did. 'Smartest Woman in the World'?

Yes, she did and she also worked for Alinsky and wrote her senior thesis at Wellsley about him and his work. She had personal communication with him that denoted some sort of personal relationship with him.

So, obviously she doesn't have a problem with being identified with Lucifer.

Another one of Hitlerys “scandals” brushed under the rug. When a Republican does something like her, it’s immediately branded a “crime”. When she does it it’s a “scandal”.

I did just that yesterday when I listened to that harpy voice. (((((shudder)))))

All those deleted emails were originally received by others or sent by others. Wonder when the White House will find them and make them public...... all in the name of being "helpful", of course.

Got to admit, it's fun to watch the war of the Clinton's vs the obama's.

In some ways, you are right. Hillary hung onto Bill because he was golden....even if he was chasing every single woman in Arkansas. Jarrett realized Obama’s failings but hung on because he’s golden. The difference between the two is that Jarrett has ZERO opportunity or chance to run for office. No personality and no speech capability.

From what I can figure...Jarrett will likely spend six months writing some book, then hook up with NBC by fall of 2017 for some Sunday political chat gimmick. Hillary? She’s mostly finished now...no mojo left to fix this email problem and big-money sponsors will view her foundation gimmick as a boat-anchor.

For some reason I can listen to her speak without running to the TV or the radio to turn it off.

My daughter called the other day and wanted to know if it was all right to feel glee at Hillary's distress and I told her, first of all, she feels no distress, and yeah, go ahead and enjoy it.

America is tired of tired old Hillary. I hope she really has a lock on the Dem nomination, she’ll get whooped.

Hillary was always the hanger on in the relationship. Bill was absolutely golden, even I like him despite detesting him and everything he stands for. He’s a personable sort of person, he’s capable of making everyone feel like he’s talking to them and that he cares. Hillary can give a very basic speech but she’s never had command of a room. Bill not only commands a room when he gives a speech but he owns the room. Even the spiders, rats and mice pay attention and are completely convinced he cares about them.

Obama doesn’t command a room like Bill does. Bill has the ability to appeal to everyone. Obama only appeals to people who agree with him and understand the meaning behind his rhetoric. It’s why when he speaks to a progressive audience they’re completely enthralled but when Obama goes to a corporate event he receives light applause. Jarrett has no political future because she can’t even keep the attention of a room full of progressives. I see her moving into academia and as you suggested appearing on MSNBC as an occasional commentator or panelist.

I tend to agree with you, she’s likely to get beaten in the general election because people are tired of Hillary. Part of me wants her to hang the Democrats out to dry and not run. That would open up the field for a bunch of unprepared and unseasoned candidates, which would only benefit the Republicans. On the other hand, the Democrats won in 2008 with an unprepared and unseasoned candidate. Sometimes the poison you know about is better to handle than the poison you don’t know about yet. Of course none of this matters if the GOP nominates Jeb Bush. Then we might as well have Hillary as President.
