In this case it is not a chemistry reference, but yet another cultural Marxist corruption of the language. The wacko left makes up their own dog-whistle language.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cis%E2%80%93trans_isomerism

“Cis and trans isomers occur both in organic molecules and in inorganic coordination complexes....The terms “cis” and “trans” are from Latin, in which cis means “on this side”[1] and trans means “on the other side” or “across”. ...”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cisgender

“Cisgender and cissexual (often abbreviated to simply cis) describe related types of gender identity where individuals’ experiences of their own gender match the sex they were assigned at birth.[1] Sociologists Kristen Schilt and Laurel Westbrook define cisgender as a label for “individuals who have a match between the gender they were assigned at birth, their bodies, and their personal identity” as a complement to transgender.”

So, the association is not with chemistry, but the use of latin “Cis” and “Trans.” And we are in agreement that this Wu person is an idiot.
