Cishet is one of those postmodern descontructionist newspeak terms. Cis-hetero. Somewhat like Cis-gender, being the same gender that your were born. And it gets developed into the term cisgender privilege, meaning prejudice against transgenders. Of course now there are 57 genders.

Chemistry reference, I think. A molecule chain “kinks” to the right or to the left. I think that Trans- means left, as in transfat, Cis- I think, to the right Cis-platinum. Happy to be corrected by any chemical engineer reading this.
