Actually I worked with female inmates for 8 years and during that time had a few brandishing shanks that were disarmed by officers without being killed. A couple of well trained officers with chemical restraints and/or batons usually resolved these situations handily.
Why train and think when you can shoot and rationalize?
Oh, I was being sarcastic. I absolutely agree that COs do that every day somehow. And they are doing it against hardened women, not a weepy 17 year old girl. Most COs woulda had her face down on the floor. Especially if there were three of them.
