Entropy is the one term in thermodynamics which I never could understand exactly. It has something to do with heat potential of a system.
I think Entropy is also a measure chaos in a system, and you’re correct, I think, because that chaos is equal to the amount of heat that cannot be turned into mechanical work or some such thing. It has been a long time since I was at Naval Nuclear Power School, Entropy was taught but my memory from 35 or so years ago is not that good. Also I did not study that hard as it was in Orlando and there were many beautiful Florida women to serve as distractions, and the drinking age was 18, so as I am sure you can guess I never finished that school. LOL
Entropy is the measure of disorder in a system; Randomness being required for our world or universe. I mean what if all the oxygen molecules gathered together in one corner of the room?
